Box Office Breakdown! Spider-Man Slings To #1! Other Woman Drops To #2! Rio 2 Crosses 100 Million!
It’s no surprise that Spidey took the top spot but what is amazing is its $92 million opening! That’s just 3 million less than Captain America. The Amazing Spiderman 2 is destined for greatness.
The Other Woman fell just one spot to number two with $14.2 million and a total domestic gross of $47 million. With a budget of $42 million, Cameron is back on top as a comedy star.
Heaven is for Real is keeping the faith, holding at number three with $8.7 million.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier took a hit and fell to number four after 5 weeks in release taking in $7.7 million. Its worldwide gross is now $680 million. Let’s see if Spidey can snare that much.
Rio 2 molted a little in the number five spot with $7.6 million.
Brick Mansions fell a spot to number six with $3.5 million.
Divergent came back to life at number seven, climbing up two spots from last week, and taking in $2.1 million. These teen titans have been in release for seven weeks now and are still going strong.
The Quiet Ones made a peep at number eight with $2 million.
God’s Not Dead fell to number nine with $1.7 million. With a tiny budget of $2 million, this insightful indie has grossed $55 domestically so far. Color me impressed.
Rounding out the top ten, and out of left field, was The Grand Budapest Hotel with $1.7 million. The Wes Anderson favorite was 13 last week, but managed to climb back into the top ten.

Next week, Zac Efron takes on Andrew Garfield in a comic book hero versus frat boy comedy show down. As much as I love Zac, my money is on Spiderman for a repeat at number one. Tune in to see if I’m right.

Drifting through the concrete jungle and punching a clock was no life for Wanda, it was the doldrums, a wilting flower like myself had no business trying to achieve. For I am Wanda, the roaming soul that knocks on the door of life and say, “hello!” So hello to you new life.
As I said, my home has burned down, I visited the old hearth today and found an old doll burned to a cinder. Strange there was no refrigerator in the wreckage or the large freezer. Father said he was able to rescue them. Currently, I’m living with my father and as I said he wants me to pleasure the hairy shippers and honestly while I get tired, it’s not bad. You know Susan… You know.
Now don’t say it Susan, “Wanda, you need to stand tall and not arch your back so much!” was your battle cry. But I have a new technique. And Susan, you’ll be happy to know, I’m making new male friends. I went to a local village square asking about classes or things to do. The man with stubble and smoking a large pipe suggested I could be a model for an art class, so Hurrah! I’m going to pose for everyone in the square with arms out wide to embrace life. I only said yes yesterday and already the villagers are lining up for the class. Strange no one signed up before, but this should be popular. For my first class, they are going to focus on simple sexuality, so I had to stand wide.
I have also made a mistake Susan. In trying to get friend Siebert to come back to my friendship circle, I may have offered to play with his father’s genitals. Normally, I wouldn’t have, but I was watching him shower, and peering over the stall and noticed a large mound of hair. I was naturally curious. Friend Siebert threw a pie at me. Lemon! Yum.
Now Susan, I hear your voice! “WANDA! Don’t eat pie, you’ll be fat and no men will want to paint your undercarriage!” Well, Susan, don’t worry, I liked up the pie and then spit it up before swallowing. You can’t swallow everything you know. Wink, Wink.
See, that was a little aside between you and I Susan, because it turns out you can swallow all the time. That’s what Dad says. I feel I should leave him soon though. He was spitting cherry pits at me again and said he was going to pull out his snake to attack me if I don’t hurry up.
Oh Susan, the pinnacle of positive energy streaming into my soul, my being and my loins. I have decided that one day we will be intertwined forever and I will sleep at your feet like the faithful cat you long desire. I know Susan, you desire an animal just like I want my puppy, but let’s be real, can you handle it Susan? Can you? Well… We just won’t know.
Now Susan, let’s talk turkey! I want to open a farm and raise turkeys and then we can dance and sing the praises of Suddenly Susan. I will name each turkey Susan 1 and Susan 2 and Susan 3 and Jo-Jo. Oh… That Jo-Jo will be the bastard turkey for sure! Just like me!
