Braving The Insane Madness For Sydney Bristow AKA Ms. Jennifer Garner! Getting Almost Trampled For The Love Of Alias!
I have been looking forward to this day for a while. You see Ms. Jennifer Garner was doing, I think her final talk show appearance for her promotional Duties for The Odd Life of Timothy Green. It was on the good side and God willing lined up and not the chaos I had to wade through at the premiere. Ugh…
Theo was not happy that I was going. I didn’t know for sure how it would be today so I didn’t want to bring him out in case there was insanity. Sigh… He was not a happy puppy! LOL…
4:16 p.m. – I arrived and there are only like 10 people here! That’s a bit crazy. CB saved me a spot even though with the few people it wasn’t that big of a deal. Still it’s always appreciated!
4:34 p.m. – Oh no… Everyone is gathering their stuff… Crap… They are moving us to the other side. People in the back rush to the other side. No one is paying attention to the line, people are trying to cut everyone is standing in the ally and not lined up… Ugh…
4:45 p.m. – This is such a cluster… Dammit my hopes of getting a photo with Jennifer Garner just got shot to hell.
5:01 p.m. – The barricade just went up… I got a spot in front towards the end… Lord this could be insane… I have my Alias promo mini poster. I already have a bunch of the cast on it. It’s totally a labor of love. I also have my W Magazine and Erica’s DVD insert.
5:22 p.m. – Billy Beer just arrived… There are about 30 or so people here. Ugh… Oh, and The Other Mike has arrived as well. He got like five at the premiere while I had to scrape and beg for one…
5:45 p.m. – Jennifer Garners security guy keeps scoping the crowd.
5:54 p.m. – The security guy for Jennifer Garner has just come by and there was one photographer by the fence. The security looked at me and said “If he is there, I’m not bringing Jennifer over.” Like, what the hell are we supposed to do? Beat the photographer up or something? He did say that she was running late and would probably sign on the the way out.
6:21 p.m. – Thank God, it’s a nice day…
6:27 p.m. – Oh and there’s Jennifer Garner!
She is coming in and waves… Someone asks if she would sign on the way out and she says yes… Well, that’s something right?
6:45 p.m. – Billy and I are settling in for a long long night… Sigh…
7:09 p.m. – Man… The Other Mike is teasing me… God bless The Other Mike… Someone has to!
7:11 p.m. – Some girls in front brought Jennifer Garner red roses.
7:19 p.m. – Billy has a couple photos for Jennifer, and The Other Mike has an Elektra photo. Sigh… Yes, you read that right, an Elektra photo. Sadness…
7:31 p.m. – You can almost feel the fact that she is going to leave soon. People are all chatty and nice and then… The person next to you could jack you in a heartbeat. Welcome to collecting autographs… Sigh…
7:39 p.m. – I have my stuff ready. I hope this isn’t insane crazy…
7:41 p.m. – Oh, and there she is!
Jennifer is coming over without anyone even calling her. But then.. Then it becomes MADNESS!
She goes to the right center of the crowd. and then… It just goes insane. She signs a few and then goes all the way to the end and signs but Jennifer is being really picky.
She’s just really choosy.
Then, she skips a bunch of people and signs in the center, she says, “If you guys don’t calm down I’m going to leave!” I’m totally buried in photos and then I’m like, “Jennifer would you mind signing the Alias poster?”
She signs another photo and then moves a few things and signs my Alias poster and then heads to the fence signs three more and is out. Man, that probably took 30 seconds.
Poor Billy, he didn’t even get one. I literally was lucky to get the one I got. Sigh… It sucks because if it was on the other side it would have been so calm and fine, instead madness… But, I’m super thankful that I got my Alias poster signed. I’ve been working on it forever.
I saw the girls who brought flowers had literally thrown the roses on the sidewalk. I guess they didn’t get to give them Jennifer Garner… Sigh…
Sigh… Out of the two things I got signed during the rounds for The Odd Life of Timothy Green I got the two most important things signed. My 13 Going on 30 mini poster and now my Alias poster so I can’t complain.
I just wish people would calm down… Sigh…

Glad you didn’t “tempt” me by bringing him along. Lol! Expendables 2 premiere really wore me out.
Man, don’t you just hate it when the same people show up at this venue AND that they racked her at the last premiere. I mean if you got five then stay home and give other people a chance. No offense Mike, you’re cool. Anyway it seemed that luck was on your side and you got the one on your awesome Alias poster! The “real” fans will prevail! Who do you still need on the poster.
Too bad they moved to to the “crazy side”. I hate when you have to wait there. It’s a cluster FU.
More and more I miss the good old days before all the blabber mouths started mentioning how good this venue was for autographing.

I love J. Garner and yes I got 5 last time, but I got zero at Daredevil, 13 going on 30 and Ghosts of Girlfriends past. I guess the same thing could be said about all of us once we have 1 why do we need another???? Because were F@$%ing Crazy, that’s why…
Blame it on the asshole dealers man.. they are always pushing and shoving and causing madness. They seem to come in hordes also, especially last minute.
You are so right the Other Mike! Right now I can say I’m done on getting Jennifer then another great image will pop up on her latter ( I honestly hope not! )that I ‘ll need to get signed. It NEVER ENDS!
I wish people would respect others. I find that true everywhere!! everyone is for themselves;and to hell with others. I don’t blame Jennifer cause lately there have been crazies doing bad stuff!!

Yeah! Did you see that recent Gaga video? Some obvious dealer type tried to sneak into her hotel to get an autograph and got slammed down by her security. Again with this behavior by those leaches the dealers/ebayers, it just makes it harder on us true fans to get the graphs.
I’ve seen it where a celebrity will lay down the ground rules if he or she will sign. If only those idiots would follow those rules then everyone will get their autograph. BUT NO! The dealers are so greedy they have to shove their photo’s in on top of ours so they can get multiples. I heard Jennifer warning that if there’s pushing she will stop signing and leave. The pushing and shoving continued so she left. I’m afraid Hell would freeze over before those scum bag dealers got any manners.
Autograph dealers are SAVAGES! They seriously piss me off and that’s why I’m reluctant to attend multiple events in a week because they get so careless. It seems almost every time they push and shove as though they are in a mosh pit. That kind of mentality is ridiculous and as a result, the real fans are the ones who get screwed over. John, makes a great point when he said, they get “so greedy they have to shove their photo’s in on top of ours so they can get multiples.” Almost every time I feel like we (the crowd) is on the brink of a riot breaking out because it gets so out of control. So when celebs refuse to sign I honestly don’t blame them because apparently most people become DEAF AND DUMB (I apologize from the bottom of my heart if that offends anyone directly) when they’re given instructions calmly by security and/or the celebs themselves. Chill out and all will be cool. You can have your m,oment to “geek out,” but don’t get greedy or harm people to get a “scribble” on a piece of paper. I know I’m being facetious, but hopefully everyone gets my point about being relaxed. Everyone on this site who considers themselves a collector can testify some of their best experiences have been when everyone around them was calm. So everyone attending an event, whether it’s a movie premiere, Q&A event, talk show appearance, red carpet event or whatever, please be respectful of everyone around you and don’t throw things in a celeb’s face. Just have fun and be smart
I don’t think the guy who went after GAGA was a dealer because he has a piece of paper and a camera A- ” Most dealers do not do not pieces of paper B- Had a Camera I think he was a fan that sadly got hurt… Yes he might of been out of the usual demographic but IMHO I think he was a fan not a dealer and some collectors and fans do show up a hotels most of my collector friends ( I do not advocate it and I do not participate in it) do the hotel thing because they think it is easier getting the celebrity or musician at the hotel rather than at the venue personally I think it’s a invasion of privacy which was probably what Gaga was thinking and she took it a little too far but hey that is what happens when you cross that privacy line by going to hotels,airports, restaurants,etc. I have never invaded anyone’s space and I wouldn’t dream of it but there are collector’s that do….. Back on topic it’s ashame dealers have to push and shove seriously not cool not cool at all….. It’s just a autograph and you probably already have 3 no need to knock over others.
