Cancellations! CBS Has Cancelled Summer Series Under The Dome! September 10th Will Be The Series Finale!
It looks like the cancellation axe has fallen once again.
CBS’ summer series actually was a great performer for the network, and according to Deadline, it “Ushered in a new business model for original summer scripted series.”
It launched in June 2013 with 17.8 million tuning into the premiere. It was adapted from a Stephen King novel. The series has been declining since but it’s still one of the most watched summer shows for the past few years.
The finale on September 10 will serve as the series finale. This does help Extant’s chances for renewal and freshman series Zoo is expected to return.
The first seasons of Under The Dome will continue to stream on Amazon.

This current season sucked. I thought the 1st season was remarkable and innovative. Season 2 dragged but this season they reinvented it and changed everything about it. After 3 weeks I stopped watching and so did a lot of people I know. It went in a direction that made it a whole new show and it didnt work
S3 has made no sense whatsoever. I watch for Mike Vogel but I’m always doing something else while watching on the dvr. Can’t believe King is even still involved.
