Wait… Did Robert Redford spill a huge Captain America: The Winter Soldier secret?
Uh ohhhhhhh… Perhaps the living legend didn’t realize that when you sign onto a Marvel movies there’s a certain level of secrecy.
Robert Redford is playing Agent Alexander Pierce who is a senior leader within the S.H.I.E.L.D. organization.
Now in the comics Pierce is little more than a minor character, but, in a later interview Mr Redford was quoted as saying Pierce is actually the head of S.H.I.E.L.D.
According to our friends at Latino Review, Robert Redford was speaking with Will Lawrence of The Straits Times’ Life! section. During the interview he said,
“I like the idea of playing a villain… I did that just because it’s a different thing for me to do.”
Ummm so this means that Alexander Pierce is a villain in the movie? Damn… Interesting. I have to tell ya, Marvel is pretty much hitting all the right notes went it comes to their movies lately.
