Comic Con Roundup! CCI and SDCC Ban AI Artwork From The Annual Art Show!

It looks like San Diego Comic Con and CCI has put out a ban on any AI artwork at it’s annual art show.

For those of you who have never checked out the art show while at the convention should really do so. There are some fantastic artists out there and their work should be appreciated!

Comic Con has put out some new rules, banning the use of AI artwork in it’s art show.

(“2) Reproductions of any kind are allowed, but only one copy of any image may be shown in the Art Show. Computer-generated art will be limited for entry and must be identified as such.

(3) Material created by Artificial Intelligence (AI) either partially or wholly, is not allowed in the art show. If there are questions, the Art Show Coordinator will be the sole judge of acceptability.”

I think that this is a great movie, more cons should do this to protect art and the artists creating it.

AI can be a useful tool, sure, but… if The Terminator, Battlestar Galactica, Alien, The Matrix, Oblivion, Ex-Machina, 2001, etc.. has shown us… AI can really be something that ya know… kills us all.

These small moves to limit AI, especially when creating art are so needed!
