Contest Time! Win A Comet TV May Collector’s Set! Jason and the Argonauts! Killer Skeletons! And More!
OMG, I’m super stoked about this giveaway!
I’ve been so into the work of Ray Harryhausen since I was like… What? Five apples tall? He’s amazing and I was lucky enough to meet him at Comic Con probably like 13 years ago. He signed a Clash of the Titans poster for me, which is amazing. One of my favorite films.
When I heard that Comet TV was honoring the special effects master I was super excited!
In case you couldn’t tell, we’re pretty big fans of old school movie monsters here at COMET, and no one was more important when it came to making those famous beasts come to life than special effects pioneer Ray Harryhausen. Catch four of his classic films airing this month.

Jim Henson. George Lucas. David Bowie. When these three legends got together in 1986, an all-time cult favorite was born. We are, of course, talking about the nightmare-inducing puppet-filled ‘80s fantasy masterpiece known as Labyrinth. It’s one of those rare films that seems to get better each time you watch it.

I love The 3 Worlds of Gulliver!
clash of the titans
I think Harry Hausen’s most technically excellent (and perhaps most beautiful) effects sequence is the protracted sword fight between Sinbad’s band and the six-armed Kali statue in GOLDEN VOYAGE. It just shocks me with its cunning and choreography every time I see it. But I also love the game “dark ride” horror of the brisk skeleton fight in JASON,and the Medusa Gorgon thing in CLASH OF THE TITANS is maybe my favorite overall monster.
Jason and the argonauts
My fave is The Adventures of Baron Munchausen!!
I love all of Ray Harryhausens films, but if I could only choose one it would be Jason and the Argonauts. The skeleton fight is a remarkable piece of stop-motion animation. I am most excited for Stargate SG-1 on Comet. I used to watch it all the time back when the Sci-Fi Channel was still worth watching. Thank you for the chance to win.
I love Jason and the argonauts. The river styx ferry man was always so scary!
Earth v. the Flying Saucers is one of my favs.
Yay to Jason and the Argonauts!
20 Million Miles to Earth was always my favorite
Jason and the Argonauts
I’m new to Comet TV but it sounds like something I am really going to enjoy. I love SciFi-especially the oldies.
I liked Clash of the Titans
Clash of the Titans for sure. I am so looking forward to watching the old scifi shows..
I love Comet TV I watch it all the time
MST3K.
