Danai Gurira Confirms Walking Dead Exit! SDCC 2019!

Near the end of The Walking Dead panel this weekend, Gurira said “I can confirm that this is the last season I will be on this amazing TV show as Michonne.”

AMC had originally slated a reduced involvement for Danai’s character Michonne in the beginning of the season. When Andrew Lincoln left the series, there was speculation that she would join him on the 3-movie plan. Time will tell.

After making the announcement, Gurira got a huge standing ovation from the crowd
