Ace is back kids! He has a great report from Days of the Dead, the horror convention that takes place in Los Angeles at the Convention Center. It’s full of horror and Sci-Fi celebrities, props, replicas and all kinds of thrilling goodness.
At the convention, Ace was able to meet a bunch of people and I’m not going to hold up the fun and excitement of his latest report!
Needless to say he had a great time!

What’s up autograph fanatics! Ace here with TTM Tuesday! Wait! NO! An IP event! WHAAAA! Shocking I know… It has been a long time since I have shown you guys an IP event… Mainly because the passive aggressive tyrant, Mikey, only wants TTM articles from poor Ace…
(Editor’s Note: Tyrant huh… You are now awarded The Sleepy Theo. How bout’ them apples!?! M-)
Secondly, I am just a procrastinator… Regardless, on to Days of the Dead 2013!
My friend, Robert, picked my brother and I up in the morning. He treated us both days, so I am eternally grateful to him. We didn’t even eat because we were so excited. Went on a photo run then jumped on the freeway.
Got Sam Raimi on the way. GO Watch the new Evil Dead film! It was so awesome. Fede Alvarez did a fantastic job for his directing debut! Just saying…
Arrived at the convention. Parking was terrible! Got lost! GPS was outdated. Exclaimer: Please update your GPS when going to any event. So we went driving around for twenty minutes to get parking! Finally got parking!
Within minutes! Saw Heather Langenkamp… Saw William Forsythe!
Went to get Dick Miller… DVD Dave and Robert guilted me… I walked up to him… It was incredibly awkward.
Usually the etiquette is, Autograph first, Business later… After two minutes of staring, I handed the money over. And that was that… I could barely understand him… I remained very respectful… Went on my way… He is a horror legend, so I wish there was just a bit more interaction!
Walked around. Stopped by Dark Del: The best store in the world! Got Mickey Yablans to add to my Halloween piece! Already had his dad, Irwin Yablans, on it!
Within that same time, got Mad Monster writers Nivek Ogre, Eben McGarr, and Joe Moe on issue #1. I love the magazine, so go check it out!
Eventually did one full lap and stopped by the cast of Face Off! They were so nice!
Greg and Brea signed my piece. Greg kindly kept the photos to get as many people as he could.
I dropped off my two pieces, and eight of the artists signed the piece as we walked around.
The Holliston signing was happening…
We grabbed the photos out… Got in line, and before you know it, Kane Hodder was choking Robert because I asked him to.
Adam Green, Laura Ortiz, and Joe Lynch! Pretty awesome! Moz was there for moral support…
Twiggy walked into the convention. Some of my best autograph friends, Wheels and Moz, pointed him out. Twiggy was nice enough to sign for us. Moz pulled out a wood block for me, and Twiggy signed it.
The next day gave us another great run around.
Sig Haig… Didn’t really talk much, but was willing to take photos with everyone! Honestly, has one of the best prices at any convention!
On the other hand, Brett Wagner was awesome… One of the coolest dudes… We probably talked to him for at least twenty minutes and he signed most of our stuff…
Overall, Days of the Dead was pretty cool. I believe it is the first time they have had one in Los Angeles…
It was my first official convention on a grand scale! I have to thank Robert and his wife, Josette, for the trip.
Well, I hope you enjoyed this recap guys…
Now, remember, there is always a graphing opportunity out there… You just have to find it.
Until Next time,
Ace, the Autograph Addict
