Fanboy Fail Fridays! Emmy Week Edition! Going Out For Geena Davis YET AGAIN! And Failing! But Getting Maria Bello As A Consolation? Ummmmmm… Yeah.

Fanboy Fail Fridays Emmy Week Edition!

You know, as much as you all enjoy Fanboy Fail Fridays, it’s a tad tinge of sadness for me! You see, this is not one, not two, but three tragic fails for Ms. Geena Davis… Yep, the old adage three times a charm really does not apply here does it?

It again was the night of randoms… There was a party for Emmy week with a list consisting of Ms. Geena Davis, Maria Bello, Patricia Arquette, Lindsay Price, Trudie Styler. Christopher Nolan, Peter Marc, Nick Rhodes, Ricki Lake, Kelly LeBrock, Eric Dane, Rebecca Gayheart, Eric Mabius, and Kristin Bauer.

I was like, oh this is close to work only .9 miles and Ms. Pinky was drooling over getting Nick Rhodes again, Sassy Liz was going for someone from Harper’s Island (Talk about random cast photos, lol) and Scotty was of course there for Geena. Also onboard for our excursion is Liz’s husband Greg who is onboard to get everyone he can off of this amazing list!

I got there a tad late (why did I have to park .7 miles away when I work only .9 miles away. I hate Santa Monica!) and missed Eric Mabius from Ugly Betty. Now, I didn’t have anything for him, so I wasn’t going to cry about it. Of course everyone had me going saying that Geena showed up and signed one each. I suppose that was a better lie than, “Oh, she signed up a storm and gave everyone kisses!”

Suddenly, Pinky is springing into action! It’s… IT’S.. Mariel Hemingway… Wow… That’s great.

Mariel is very nice however and poses with Pinky for a photo.

And we wait again… And wait… There are a few other collector’s here but everyone seems to have wisely avoided this “party.”

Two people are arriving that even Pinky didn’t know. And let me tell you, she can ID the featured extras from the fourth season of Silver Spoons, so I’m going to guess and say, yep… No one important.

Still no sign of Geena Davis let alone anyone else we were looking for… I’m smelling an Emmy Week FAIL!

Pinky just started to lose her shit… Oh my gosh, it’s former Eastwick star Lindsay Price! Pinky bolted into action with Liz behind her. I swear, Pinky was so happy. I mean there was joy in behind Pinky’s smile!

Personally, I liked Eastwick, and was a tad sad it got cancelled. I didn’t like it enough to lose my shit over Lindsay Price, but you know… It’s all good!

I just realized that we are at the Santa Monica Bay Women’s Club. Kind of an odd place to hold an event right? Especially one with Chis Nolan and Geena Davis! Hmmmmm my Fanboy senses are tingling with a “This may have been a padded list?”

Pinky is still holding out hope for Nick Rhodes, while I have lost all hope.

Sadness abounds in the hearts of men.

We have another arrival.. It’s… It’s.. Not Geena Davis… In fact it’s former Prime Suspect star Maria Bello.

I’ve been getting made fun of this, but I have a Venice magazine for Maria Bello. Pinky and Scotty are taking advantage of the fact that I like to collect random things, but in this case it paid off!

Maria is very sweet and takes time to sign for everyone and does a couple quick photos.

She then pops onto the carpet before heading inside…

And yet here we are still holding out hope.

Pinky is trying to say a prayer to the heaven’s that Nick Rhodes will still show up, but I doubt it.

Why… Why does Geena Davis torment me? Why?!?!?!? Is it because she hates my Earth Girls Are Easy mini poster and can tell I’m here waiting for her? Is it? Does she simply know that I have a stack of things for her to sign and she just wants my pile to grow before sitting down and just doing everything at once? I can fly with that, but just let me know Geena! Just let me know!

Sigh…

A big blue bus just drove by and I turned to Scotty and said, “Maybe Geena Davis is on the big blue bus?” Maybe? Maybe she’s getting bused in? It could happen? Right… Right? Doh!

Oh, and no one else from that list showed up either… Nice…

Sadness… Fanboy FAIL!
