Finally… FINALLY! Meeting The Legendary Ms Daryl Hannah! Splash! Steel Magnolias! Roxanne! Autographs! Photos! Environmental Awesomeness!

I have to tell you, I just love it when a plan comes together. Okay, I just quoted The A-Team. You got me, but it’s true.

Scotty and I have been trying to meet Ms. Daryl Hannah for a while now. I actually met her once before when I had her sign my Steel Magnolias mini poster, I of course have a bunch of other rare things for her to sign and I’ve been trying to meet her for at least a couple years now.

Well, after a couple failed attempts and one time when Ms. Daryl Hannah turned Scotty down flat, we headed down to a small premiere she was having for a new documentary called Greedy Lying Bastards.

I don’t love this venue, it’s a rough one. Still, I made it over here in pretty decent time. Scotty has been here for a bit. There’s only about five of us waiting which is cool. Scotty has his Steel Magnolias one sheet and me…

I brought my original Splash die cut counter standee and also my three dimensional Roxanne counter standee as well. I’m a crazy person I know.

The carpet is upstairs and there a few photographers but it’s not a huge carpet. So far no Daryl Hannah.

Oh… Oh… Nothing.

People are parking and walking right on up to the carpet. So, crossing our fingers this one will be the same. Sigh…

Scotty is really excited because 1. he’s been working on this Steel Magnolias one sheet poster for a while and 2. we’ve both grown up with a lot of Daryl Hannah’s movies.

I know she’s sort of stepped out of the spotlight for the past few years, but you know… Back in the day, she was a huge star.

And she’s here! crap! She must have arrived in the back. She’s on the carpet now. Rats.

So, we’re hoping that she’ll come down and sign for us after. I have to tell you, I don’t have a good feeling about this. Daryl Hannah is on the carpet and is now doing interviews. God she looks great! I mean, damn!

She is still upstairs but we yell for her and she waves at us…

Sigh times two…

It would be super nice of her to come down and sign for us, but literally she would have to make a special trip down the steps just to sign autographs and I don’t see it happ-

Holy shit! Daryl Hannah is doing it. She comes down the steps just to sign for us! I’m amazed!

Literally amazed, and she is so so so sweet!

Scotty gets his one sheet signed and since there’s only a few of us and it’s not insane she signs so nice.

As she signs my Roxanne counter standee, Daryl was like, “I haven’t seen this before” so I told her what it was and how I’ve had it forever. So nice!

I love it when you have a fun, simple, yet totally awesome encounter!

It’s such a blessing! Swoon!
