Fireflies In The Garden Movie Premiere! Julia Roberts! Carrie Anne Moss! Hayden Panettiere! Dermot Mulroney!

Wow, talk about last minute calls… I have to tell ya… I feel like shit… and when I say shit, I mean clogged sinuses… Sleepy, light headed… All allergies mind you, but still sleep is good. So, when I just finish my drive back to the valley from Santa Monica in rush hour traffic and get a call saying that there is a last minute premiere for the “new” Julia Roberts movie… That’s one of the rare things that will get me to rush upstairs, pull my Julia Roberts stuff out, jump into the car, head to Hollywood, pick up a friend and make it back to the Grove… Sigh… And I only have 45 minutes… hmmmmm….

6:30 p.m. – I literally just make it to the Grove and the carpet is supposed to start at 6:30. I don’t think I’ve gotten across town that fast in all my life. LOL… Man oh man… There was a huge accident I ran into, and I’m like… Wow… That’s Crazy… Julia Roberts isn’t worth that… lol… But still I’m here.

6:35 p.m. – There are fan pens set up to watch the red carpet. This is Fireflies in the Garden, a film that was shot in 2008 and is finally getting released in the U.S. With a cast that includes not only Julia Roberts, but Carrie Anne Moss, William Dafoe, Ryan Reynolds, Hayden Panettiere, and Emily Watson I’m wondering why… lol…

6:41 p.m. – At first I heard it was Julia and Ryan here, but now I’m hearing that Ryan isn’t showing up… Ah well, I’m really here for Julia only…

6:46 p.m. – There are some smaller arrivals… but nothing major yet… I’m second row which I hate, cause I try to be a nice guy at things like this and not cover people… But my Sleeping With The Enemy poster is an oversize mini and is sorta large.

6:51 p.m. – Wow, there is this frakkin bitch to the side of me. I didn’t want to go over anyone to cover them so I ask this one lady if I can put my poster between her and the lady in front of me so I don’t cover anyone. Her response, “No, for someone else maybe, but not you.” Then she laughed. Wow… Okay… I’m 6’3 with a GIANT white board, if you think I can’t cover you, you are mistaken!

6:54 p.m. – I’m still taken aback by the bitch to the side of me… That’s what you get for trying to be nice I guess… Well, you also get your photo put up on Mike the Fanboy and me telling the world that you’re a bitch… lol…

7:01 p.m. – Carrie Anne Moss just arrived… Dammit! I have a Chocolate poster I really wanted her to sign… People keep telling me she’s not that nice…

7:04 p.m. – Well… She’s not coming over but she is waving so… I dunno… I didn’t really yell for her since the poster is tucked away at home…

7:08 p.m. – hmmmm well… Carrie Anne Moss is now doing press interviews…

7:11 p.m. – Oh, and there’s Julia Roberts! We’re all yelling for her… She’s waving but goes right on the carpet… Dammit!

Perhaps after… I’ve only gotten Julia Roberts a couple times, but she’s always been decent at a premiere…

7:17 p.m. – Hayden Panettiere is here… People yell for her and she comes over to sign for the barricade…

I of course was in a rush and didn’t bring my Scream 4 poster… grrrr… ah well… I have to focus on Julia Roberts I suppose…

7:19 p.m. – Hayden makes it down just a little past me and stops… She then heads right onto the carpet…

7:22 p.m. – So, hopefully Julia will come over after the press line… Sigh…

7:26 p.m. – There’s Dermot Mulroney!

LOL… Of course I didn’t bring anything My Best Friend’s Wedding related… Sigh… I just realized how much stuff I have for Julia Roberts…

7:31 p.m. – It looks like the cast is walking back down the carpet to do group photos…

7:35 p.m. – This is it kids, either she’ll do it now, or she won’t do crap!

7:38 p.m. – Photos are over and… Holy shit! Julia is coming right on over…

I get my stuff ready, and of course my camera flies everywhere… All the dealers rush over and just push and shove… Crazy… I have my Sleeping With The Enemy poster out… Julia is moving fast but signing quite a bit… She sees my Sleeping With The Enemy poster and signs nice and big on the bottom…YES! I’ve been trying to get that signed for years! It’s an original and I’ve had it for like a decade!

7:39 p.m. – I then grab my Pretty Woman mini poster and throw that out there… Julia sees it and signs that as well. Dude, I’m so stoked! I tried for a third, my Notting Hill poster, but I didn’t get it. Two is good and I’m happy trust me.

A crazy night, but totally worth it! And the lady who was mean… She didn’t get crap… I’m not gloating, but you know… It’s one of those things. I try to be cool to everyone when I’m out cause this is supposed to be fun, I just don’t see why people are rude, you know? Ah well… I’m very happy to get the two that I did get!
