After a long wait at the actual premiere for Game of Thrones and getting completely shut out, I think everyone waited for the after party. And when I say everyone… I mean everyone.
Waiting for the after party was another couple of hours. Security had to play with the barricade and yelled at anyone for lingering. Then the security guard said, ‘in 20 years I have never seen anyone sign going to the party after a premiere!’ Ummm well, that’s funny because just last week, I saw people sign on the way to the after party. LOL… Sigh…
Finally we were allowed to stand at the barricade so the massive rush for spots was on. I got a decent spot standing next to The Other Mike and a bunch of others. Ace I think was behind me, Billy more down to the right, etc… It’s basically a giant cluster. Sigh…
We’re all pretty damn bored and cold and hungry and irritated.
We saw the same publicist that screwed everyone at the premiere and she said, “I’ll try and bring some people over.” Uh huh… Thanks for the help lady.
Catching up with everyone, trying to huddle together for warmth all in the glamorous life of being a fanboy!
Emilia Clarke left first and didn’t wave or even look over. I know she has a flight but yesh. I keep hearing she’s not as nice as she was. Sigh…
After about an hour or so the Baja Fresh sign in the distance seemed like a faint and distant memory.
Then the premiere broke and it was game time… Game of Thrones game time.
I wish I had a more accurate account of the night but it really was all a blur. Everyone came over at the same time and it was impossible to keep an accurate account.
I’ll try and do my best.
Lena Headey gets the gold star of the night as she is awesome. She pretty much signed the line.
Problem was Nikolaj Coster-Waldau came over at the same time and I missed him but got three awesome pieces signed by Lena!
Then Peter Dinklage was there and he was signing. I barely got him on my poster as he looked overwhelmed.
Isaac Hempstead Wright was signing but I missed him.
Gwendoline Christie signed as well, but it’s a pretty bad autograph but still she was nice to do it.
Charles Dance is a nice nice man, such a beautiful autograph as well.
Rory McCann was also really nice and signed up a storm for people.
Natalie Dormer was great to everyone and signed.
Sibel Kekilli and well and George R.R. Martin signed. I got Sibel Kekilli but not George.
D.B. Weiss signed as well and was really nice. Even though the other Mike asked him who he was. LOL…
And honestly, that as we say is that.
While it still wasn’t the end all be all, it also wasn’t a total waste. Sigh… It just is too bad because HBO used to be so nice to the fans and now then don’t seem to give a crap. After all that the “nice” publicist didn’t even help. Funny.
Ah well… Until next time kids…
