Gangster Squad Movie Premiere Report! AKA Attack Of The Red Pens! Getting Emma Stone! But Getting Skipped By Ryan Gosling! Missing Josh Brolin & Sean Penn! Doh! Autographs… Kinda…

The first movie premiere of 2013! Man oh man, another new year another premiere. You just never know what you’re going to get do you? Especially with a cast that includes Emma Stone, Sean Penn, Ryan Gosling, Josh Brolin and more… I can only be talking about Gangster Squad of course.

This could be epic or a disaster! Sigh… Here’s hoping for the former rather than the latter. I couldn’t do a full day so CB got there and saved spots for The Other Mike, Billy Beer and myself. Sigh… I guess we will see what we get right?

4:01 p.m. – I’m here, CB thought he was funny and told me my spot was down the road. He’s toying with a man who just drove through traffic from Santa Monica… Poke the bear.. Poke the bear…

4:15 p.m. – Ace is here too, as well as DVD Dave. I think DVD Dave’s mission for 2013 is giving me shit. LOL… I think that’s everyone’s mission at this point. 2013 bag on Mike The Fanboy! LOL…

4:21 p.m. – The carpet isn’t that interesting, they have the name in the middle… A Little blah… There are only two lanes of traffic so that’s good actually.

4:38 p.m. – DVD Dave just coined the term “Celebriocity” I think that’s what it was… Dammit I’m getting old and can’t remember stuff anymore! I need to kick the Coke Zero man…

5:01 p.m. – The crowd isn’t bad but it’s a couple people deep.

5:08 p.m. – We have a spot right across from the drop so that’s good.

5:15 p.m. – Billy is laughing at me for brining my Milk poster for Sean Penn… You never know! He could do it! Sigh…

5:23 p.m. – I have a few things today, a couple magazines for Emma Stone, an Ides of March mini poster and Drive mini poster for Ryan Gosling. Plus, a couple other pieces of Randomness.

5:29 p.m. – It should be starting soon… Whoo Hoo… I also would like to get Mireille Enos from The Killing but most importantly Big Love. I really like Big Love man… That was an amazing show!

5:41 p.m. – Man the crowd is really thick… There are times when it’s like this that I almost hope people don’t come over because I’m nervous I’m going to get crushed… Sigh….

5:55 p.m. – Five minutes… Lord…

6:05 p.m. – First arrival… It’s Mireille Enos!

CB and Billy Beer freak out… In fact, CB shrieks like a school girl who has a ferret biting her ass. I think he’s bouncing… Mireille Enos waves and then heads to the carpet… CB Persists though… And keeps yelling, lol… God love him…

6:09 p.m. – Ummm another drop… It’s Giovanni Ribisi. CB was trying to convince me that he was hard to get and I’m like…. Uh, I’ve gotten Giovanni Ribisi like 10 times. I don’t even have anything for him today.

Giovanni Ribisi comes right on over and signs and signs away…

6:21 p.m. – Oh another drop… It’s Robert Patrick. I have my True Blood mini poster for him. Robert is Alcide’s father and is going to be a new regular next season on the show.

Robert is super nice and comes right on over and signs and signs and signs for everyone…. He’s so nice!

6:33 p.m. – Hmmm some drops but nothing too exciting… CB keeps misidentifying people… This is the same guy who said, “There’s Lana Del Rey at the Independent Spirit Awards… LOL…”

6:34 p.m. – Oh crap, there’s Ryan Gosling…. He’s coming right on over and starts on one end of the barricade and starts to go down… His pen is dead though, and it’s just barely showing up… Ugh…

6:35 p.m. – Uh oh… His publicist gave him a red industrial marker… WHAT! First off red, but second it’s this crappy red old school marker! What the hell man… He signs and signs but is moving fast.

He gets to me and skips me! No freaking way! I say Ryan can you sign the magazine, and he said no!

I’m like what the hell. It’s the W magazine that Michelle Williams already signed!

Seriously! Scotty got him, Billy got him, CB got two… Of course they are in red but still… Dammit!

6:38 p.m. – I’m a tad pissed….

6:39 p.m. – Michael Peña has just arrived. People yell for him and he runs over as well.

So nice…. Again I have nothing for him but God bless him for signing… Sigh…

6:42 p.m. – So far no Brolin or Penn…

6:43 p.m. – There’s Emma Stone! She is so cute! Sure enough she comes right on over…

And again her publicist gives her a red pen… What the hell is it with red pens today? I hope this isn’t a trend man… Emma is moving super fast and then continues down the line.

I have my Interview magazine and my Vanity Fair magazine out for her…

6:44 p.m. – Emma comes by and signs three for CB and then signs my Interview magazine, I hold out the Vanity Fair and she looks at it and then keeps going.

Man oh man… Emma keeps going and then the barricade tumbles over on her! It’s a little bit farther down that where I am but I’ll tell you people here are pushing like no ones business… They are super horrible.

6:51 p.m. – At least I got one right?

6:53 p.m. – Josh Brolin just dropped with Sean Penn. You can see that Josh asked Sean if he wanted to go over. Sean shrugged and both are crossing!

AWAY FROM US! Their publicists are leading them to some gaggle of girls. Sean Penn signed like six pieces of paper and then crossed back… Sigh… Kills me… Brolin signed a few as well. It wasn’t much that’s for sure.

And that closes the first premiere of 2013. Was it a total bust… Eh… Kinda… But not really. At least the magazine I have matches the horrible red pen. LOL..

Still, the pushing was unbearable and seeing Sean Penn sign stupid pieces of paper killed me. I think the publicists planned that crap. It’s a bummer for sure man… Sigh…

Well, we can only hope for better premiere’s for the rest of the year right???
