Gerard Butler Awesomeness! Signing Autographs! Taking Photos! He Even Puts On A 300 Helmet And Yells “I Am Sparta!” For His Fans! #incredible!

I have to tell you… There are times when I think to myself… “Mike…” and I admit I actually say Mike. Perhaps I’m 15% crazy. “Mike… you’re not going to make it, just stop and forget about this event.”

And then I say, “Eh…” and I think to myself. If every time I was told not to do something, I actually listened my life would suck. Why not try!

Such is the case tonight. One of everyone here at MTF’s favorite actors Mr. Gerard Butler was doing a talk show taping to promote Olympus Has Fallen his new movie with Morgan Freeman.

I have a 300 mini poster I’ve been wanting to get signed along with a magazine or two so I figured why not try right?

I get on the freeway and there’s literally no traffic. For a good three minutes I’m actually concerned that Jesus has come back and I was left behind. Then I thought, “Perhaps I wouldn’t mind that if traffic is this good!”

I call CB who is already there and he said people leave around 7ish fine whatever. That gives me 40 minutes to get from Santa Monica to Hollywood and park. Hmmmmm…

7:05 p.m. – I just made it here. I parked, and arrived this time before anyone leaves! Miracle!

7:09 p.m. – I see Ace and Garrick and we’re chilling. Speaking of chilling… It’s damn cold. Now, I’m a tall dude and I know I help block the wind from people… Except of course when I break wind, then… It’s a whole other story.

7:10 p.m. – Thank you everyone, I will be here all night!

7:14 p.m. – Everyone is huddled for warmth. Seriously… It’s chilly!

7:19 p.m. – Ace has a few things for Gerard. I have a couple. I mean, I hate trying to get a lot of stuff at the same time for people who are generally really nice like Gerard Butler. A couple things fine, but I like nice people to stay nice. lol…

7:20 p.m. – Oh.. someone is leaving. It’s Spring Breakers star Vanessa Hudgens.

She is a tad odd… She comes over and then stares at people

and then does photos and signs a few things but only with loops and not really her name. It was a bit odd. She signed for about a minute.

LOL… Okay… I didn’t care as I didn’t have anything for her but I think celebrities are funny sometimes.

7:23 p.m. – The outdoor concert is going on and on and on….

7:28 p.m. – The concert is over and still no Gerard Butler. He’s such a nice guy I’m sure he’s chatting it up inside. “I am Sparta!” sorry had to be done.

7:32 p.m. – I keep forgetting to bring my Tomb Raider Cradle of Life mini poster for him. Dammit… And I have a The Ugly Truth mini poster as well at home. Don’t judge me, I liked that movie.

7:41 p.m. – Ace is turning into a popsicle. Seriously, it’s pretty funny. Not like, “Ha Ha Funny” but humous enough to amuse me for a second. I’m cold and tired leave me alone my brain is not functioning.

7:46 p.m. – Oh… Oh… There he is! Gerard is leaving. Sure enough he comes right on over to the fans. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him not be kind to waiting fans.

he signs pretty much one each down the line. I have my 300 mini poster out. Garreck got his photo signed so he offered to try and get my magazine signed. As Gerard Butler comes down the line I ask him to switch to silver, but he says, “No I can’t I gotta go.” I thanked him for coming over and “Sure!” Very nice.

Once he got to the barricade he took someone’s 300 helmet and actually put it on and said, “I Am Sparta!” No joke! It was awesome.

I think he made sure everyone got one autograph. It’s pretty nice and rare for a celebrity to stay this nice after so many years.

Such a nice guy. Every time I’ve went out for Gerard he has never disappointed his fans. A true gentleman!
