I wanted to stay home today, however I found out last minute about a premiere for Grace and Frankie. I’ve had so many fails with the comedy legend duo of Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin.
Still, I persist.
Scotty arrived first and when I got there, I think maybe five people were on site. That of course quickly changed as even the most hardened collector broke down to try and get Jane Fonda.
We waited a while and eventually the first drop was Sam Waterston. He however sat at the drop for an eternity.
So much so, that Ernie Hudson dropped, talked to people and then came over to sign. He was super nice and since Scotty forgot his times for Ernie he helped me get my OZ poster signed and I got my Ghostbusters poster signed.
I helped Scotty with Sam Waterston who was very nice to come on over.
Peter Gallagher arrived and he was very nice.
Then Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin both arrived almost in unison.
Jane Fonda was very nice and was trying to sign one each. Scotty got his Rolling Stone magazine signed. I had my 9 to 5 poster that I really wanted signed because I have Dolly Parton on it.
Thankfully Jane Fonda was nice enough to sign it.
Now, when Lilly Tomlin came by she said she would sign on the way out. Doh!
Lisa Kudrow was the last to arrive and she signed, but I didn’t get her.
We went to the other end of the carpet and everyone whisked themselves in but Sam Waterston, who signed.
Lisa Kudrow did sign and I was lucky enough to get her on my Romy and Michelle poster. Woo Hoo! Love that movie.
Now, I had to get Lily to finish my 9 to 5 poster so we waited for the afterparty.
There was a little barricade set up and it was fairly calm.
Peter Gallagher came over, he was super nice.
Ernie Hudson came over again.
Shockingly, Jane Fonda decided to sign again which I was stoked about. I had help for one poster, but I got both of my Barbarella posters done so that was awesome.
Then Brooklyn Decker came out and you would have thought she was Madonna. She personalized everything and people were going nuts.
Then finally Lily Tomlin came out and thanks to Will for helping me get m 9 to 5 poster done. Lily is adorable but in a crowd I can see how it’s difficult for her since she has such a nice autograph and such.
So, everything was pretty damn awesome! It was a good night!
Until next time kids…
