Hanging At The Hollywood Collector’s Show! Meeting Sexy Daphne Zuniga and Paul Dooley From 16 Candles! Movie Props! Sexy Fangirls and More!
This weekend was the Hollywood Show here in Burbank California! Known to us here as the Autograph Show, it’s a great time to meet up with collector friends without the chaos and craziness of being at an event.
What actually talking to people? Insane!
This time around, I only wanted to get a couple people so I didn’t have much pressure. I know Pinky went all Fangirl on Sam Trammell…. See, I made a half joke that Pinky should print a poster with all of her photos with Sam Trammell and get Sam to sign it…
And so, she did. God bless her. I honestly didn’t even realize she had THAT many photos with Sam Trammell until I saw them all on one poster. Apparently, Sam was very excited to see it… Not as excited as Pinky was to show it to him I bet.
Also milling about were Good Times icon John Amos and Louis Gossett Jr.
I myself decided to track down a couple stars at the show. My first stop was for Paul Dooley. Now, for those of you who are curious, Paul played the father in Sixteen Candles a movie I love…. I know you’re shocked… Me, Mike the Fanboy loving a 1980’s classic!
Paul was very nice and was more than happy to sign my mini poster. He was actually really impressed I had a poster.
Honestly, even though you can spend a bit of money at the Hollywood Show, Paul only charged ten dollars for the autograph and photo!
After meeting Paul, I was hanging with Pinky and we decided to head over and say a quick hello to Daphne Zuniga. Now, I have loved Spaceballs since I was a kid. I quote it all the time. Daphne was very sweet. I didn’t have anything for her to sign so I just got a photo with her.
Daphne Zuniga was very sweet and we talked about Spaceballs for a few seconds. That’s the one nice thing about the convention is that generally speaking you can have at least a second with the people you care about.
This time around there was a small section with some original horror movie props.
There were some original Chucky costumes
Elvira’s Haunted Hills castle filming miniature
And some buildings from Escape From New York
The other nice thing is that there are lots of vendors around. I was fortunate enough to also hang with Suddenly Susan and her friend Chris for a while. We looked around at all the people selling posters, shirts, scripts, lobby cards, etc…
I ended up digging around in a bunch of boxes and found some cool promo shirts for Salt, Pleasantville and Notting Hill! I say score!
I also found a talking Thor action figure… Five bucks! Hello!
I think Susan picked up a few things herself.
All in all, there’s nothing better than hanging out with friends, getting a celebrity photo or two, perhaps an autograph, digging through movie memorabilia and meeting new friends.
Not bad for a Saturday afternoon!
Until next time kids…

OK, Question???? I see a poster under the Sam poster. Did Pinky actually make 2 posters?
Damn! Those ARE some sexy fangirls 🙂
Pinky made a poster to give to Sam… So he could have one as well.
