I Freeze My Butt Off Waiting For Big Bang Theory Star Kaley Cuoco and Just Feel Cold As Ice After Meeting John Cusack… Brrrr…

I am out and about trying to meet up with Scotty for a small event in my hood. It’s rare when there’s an event outside the outskirts of Hollywood, and so I thought, oh… It will only be a couple of us… Boy was I wrong!

A few people from Big Bang Theory were on the list as well as John Cusack. Now, I just got Kate Beckinsale to sign my Serendipity mini poster so I thought, this is meant to be! John Cusack is out and I can finish my poster, all is right with the world… Sigh…

Well… so did every dealer and collector in the world apparently! This event was for some jewelry launch by sometime actress Jodi Lyn O’Keefe. She was in She’s All That a movie I despise… Sigh… But it’s all good… Anyway, I love me some Big Bang Theory so I have to go.

7:15 p.m. – I just arrived, Scotty and literally everyone in the world is here… The entire street is empty except for the small crowd gathered in front of this small store on Ventura Blvd. Crazy.

7:17 p.m. – Apparently John Cusack is already here and signed like two autographs before scowling and running inside. If you saw one of the autographs you would be shocked. It’s not even a “J” it’s like he stabbed the baseball he signed. Wow…

7:22 p.m. – It’s so damn cold. Poor Scotty looks like a popsicle!

7:34 p.m. – The carpet… Well, the “carpet” is supposed to start at 7:30 p.m. and there’s no one here… Except John Cusack who is walking around the store taunting me…

7:45 p.m. – And still a goose egg… Scotty wanted Lacey Chabert who was supposed to be here, but who knows…

8:04 p.m. – It’s damn cold… Minnie Driver just showed up. You know… For someone who has not worked in a major movie for what a decade, she strolled in like she was the hottest shit ever. I am so not impressed.

8:08 p.m. – Scotty and I are doing our best Minnie Driver impersonations now… lol.. I don’t have a funky hat to wear though… I call it a say something hat! I’ll try and get a photo of her hat… lol… We’re cold and slap happy.

8:18 p.m. – Some porn star is here… Man, the showing for this is crazy! lol… Mary Carey… Who knows…

8:19 p.m. – The little kid from Baywatch I guess showed up… He’s not that little anymore, but he’s talking to some camera guy… A List my friends… A… List…

8:25 p.m. – Oh, wait… There’s… Oh, there’s Kaley Cuoco… I love me some big bang… And so do all the dealers! Damn… It’s like a frenzy! I get Kaley to sign my promo Big Bang Emmy Laptop, and then for some reason I pull out my promo Emmy Big Bang board game instead of my posters… Ask me why? I have no idea.

It’s not even what I wanted done first… Sigh… I just pulled a Pinky! lol….

8:27 p.m. – Kaley signed as she was walking and signed a LOT. I only got the two but I think there were people who got like 10.

They are not great signatures though… 🙁 I hate that. Ah well… hopefully, some other people will show up…

8:38 p.m. – Porn star Mary Carey is leaving… Exciting times…

And there are people getting her to sign… Hey, whatever floats your boat I guess!

8:41 p.m. – Scotty is heading out…

8:45 p.m. – Oh no… Poor Scotty’s car isn’t starting… Doh… He has a stick shift and he needs to pop the clutch…

9:03 p.m. – I’m almost calling it… It’s getting late, but I’m hoping to actually get John. I only have two things, my Serendipity poster and a Say Anything… Poster. I know he wasn’t great going in, but maybe with a couple drinks in him…

9:15 p.m. – Minnie Driver is leaving now… Wow, now she has a faux security escort…

lol… This isn’t 1998 sweetie… No one cares except for two people… Really…

9:22 p.m. – I see John head towards the back of the store so he might be leaving… A couple other guys go with me…

9:24 p.m. – John Cusack is smoking a cigar in the back of the store. We wait and ask really nice if he wouldn’t mind signing… Then six people round the corner… Uh oh…

9:25 p.m. – Kaley Cuoco is leaving and everyone is about to pounce. I have a couple posters out.. Kaley is just signing up a storm I got her on one poster, and then she continues to sign and I got her on another poster as well.

9:26 p.m. – Everyone keeps following her down the ally, I just wait and call it a day. I got four things done, and I think I had a couple more with me, but I don’t want to push it.

9:28 p.m. – The couple other guys and I are now waiting for John, and he looks over at us, and says, “What are you standing there for?” We were like, “would you mind signing?” He says, “You’re waiting for me!” Like it’s just a shock, even though we asked him five minutes ago… Mind you there are like four of us and only two asking. He says, “I already did this for you guys!” I guess he meant he signed two going in, lol… We said, no John it wasn’t us, he says, “Fine, but only one each and that’s it.” He scribbled one each and then threw the pen down.

Now, I’m fine with people not loving the chaos, and at least John Cusack did sign… But it felt like angry signing. Only to get rid of us did he do it. I get that too I guess, but it just left me feeling so cold. Like why do I bother being a fan with people like John Cusack out there. Most celebs are really nice, and I get that… But… Man… It was just so unsatisfying… I did finish my Serendipity poster even though it’s barely a J and signed in a black pen in the black… but… It makes me wish I didn’t even start it. I dunno, it could have been worse, he could have said, no… Or told me to go screw myself… I suppose that’s what it felt like… Anyway, it’s done.

Now, I can help Scotty push his car and then go home. Thankfully, we did get Scotty’s car going with relative ease! lol… Whoo Hoo! One thing went right.
