Interstellar Premiere! Anne Hathaway! Jessica Chastain! Disses From Christopher Nolan! And Missing Matthew McConaughey By This Much! Doh!

One of the films I’m most looking forward to this year is Interstellar, the new Christopher Nolan sci-fi extravaganza. When I heard that there was a premiere, I was like, “Oh, I have to go!”

I talked to a few people, including Chris and Scotty because I couldn’t make it in the morning. Chris was nice enough to get there and secure our place. After going back and forth a little about where to stand it looked like we were all set.

When I got there, Scotty and Chris were camped out and soon DVD Dave arrived and with the slight exception of one unmentionable we were all set.

Thankfully, it was an earlier premiere and we didn’t have to wait all that long.

Scotty made some signs for Anne Hathaway, honestly out of everyone here today, I think she’s the hardest. On the list is the always amazing Jessica Chastain, Anne Hathaway, and Matthew McConaughey, so it’s a tall order. Add to that the always difficult Christopher Nolan, and it could be good or bad. lol.

The premiere is getting closer and the press are in their pens. They are playing a wide variety of “interesting” pop music. Taylor Swift and Katy Perry are interesting choices for this movie, lol.

Scotty is in heaven.

That was sarcastic. The one fun thing is that they are showing some of the carpet and fans live on the marquee of the Chinese theater. It’s really kind of neat.

No one is wasting any time arriving. First up is Mackenzie Foy. She looks over and runs to the carpet. Damn… Okay, interesting start to this premiere. lol.

The next drop is only a few minutes later and it’s Jessica Chastain.

Can I tell you how awesome Jessica Chastain is? I mean she is one of the nicest and sweetest people ever. She comes over and starts signing, taking pics and just being her adorable self. I swear, she is just the kindest person and it’s so genuine.

She starts at one end of the line and goes to the other end. I mean she’s just so kind. Jessica Chastain signs my Interstellar mini poster and my Interview magazine as well.

As soon as Jessica is done, there are a few more drops, and then Anne Hathaway arrives.

She pauses for a second and comes on over She starts at one end and starts signing down the line. I think her signature is pretty good for a premiere.

I mean, she’s being pretty nice. Anne signs my Interstellar poster and then I thanked her for all her charity work before she signs my W Magazine as well. I think they both look pretty good. She signs a good bit before heading back across the street to the carpet.

So far so good. Matthew McConaughey arrives and comes on over.

Honestly, he’s being a little odd and skipping around. I think he smoked up before he left the car because he’s in a daze. I have my Interstellar poster out but sadly, he skipped me. Ugh…

And he said, “I can’t look back” and literally just kept going down the line.

That was a bit of a bummer. I’m sure I’ll see Matthew McConaughey again, but it’s a bummer I wasn’t able to finish the poster today.

Christopher Nolan arrived and ran to the carpet. I don’t think he even waved at the fans. Doh!

And that as we say is that. I’m a bit bummed that I missed Matthew McConaughey, but getting a couple from Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain is always a fun treat!
