Is Channing Tatum Dropping Out Of The New Gambit Film?
It looks like Channing Tatum is putting his deck of cards away and might be grabbing for his G-string again. The Wrap is reporting that C-Tates is exiting the long in development Gambit film.
Tatum was at Comic Con earlier this month to hype the project but it looks like talks have stalled recently. Tatum has wanted to play Gambit for a long time, and it’s been a passion project for him.
Gambit is going to be released on October 7, 2016 so this has to happen quickly. Channing’s producing partner Reid Carolin said in a post on his blog that he and Tatum want to direct. Could that have something to do with him dropping out of the project?
Either way, I think it’s a good thing. Gambit is a hard role to pull off and I’m not certain that C-Tates is the right fit.
Tatum is also getting ready to star in 23 Jumpstreet for Sony.
