Throwback Thurs! Jodie Foster! Meeting The Silence Of The Lambs Star! Plus Desperate Housewives! Eva Longoria! Felicity Huffman! Dana Delany! Autographs!
For Throwback Thurs, I had to do Jodie Foster. I love her, she’s adorable and with her new film Money Monster coming out, I thought it was the perfect time to do a flashback.
I’ve met Jodie a few times and this one was really cool because not only was Jodie there but also Eva Longoria, Dana Delany, Felicity Huffman and more.
Check out the full throwback below!
I was chatting with my friend last night and we got on the subject of Jodie Foster! It’s always funny, running the blog and stuff you always get questions like is so and so nice? How is this person? And my friend asked me about Jodie Foster. Well, I knew it had been a long long time since I met her but I figured it would be a fun flashback because I ALWAYS get asked about Jodie Foster!
Well, when I met Jodie Foster the one and only time she was as nice as could be. It was the premiere for Phoebe in Wonderland and was extremely low key which was nice. Also at the premiere… Most of the Desperate Housewives! I know Heaven for this Fanboy!
Check out the MTF Flashback after the jump!

I was just lying on the couch resting. I have a fever and feel queasy; it would take a lot for me to get off of that wonderful soft couch. Then my friend called and said two words to me…DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES! I have been trying to complete my Housewives poster for about three years. Right now I am just missing Marcia Cross and Eva Longoria. Both of them will be at the premiere for Felicity Huffman’s new movie Phoebe in Wonderland, along with Dana Delany, William H. Macy, and one Ms. Jodie Foster. Now, I don’t expect to get Ms. Foster as I hear she is notoriously difficult but you never know.
5:00 p.m. – I just arrived to the premiere, there are about four or five other collector’s here and we are kind of just waiting around to find out where to stand, or more like where they are going to stick us. This is such a low profile premiere not many people know about it even though it has a really good guest list.
5:22 p.m. – They have just put a red rope up, and all of us kind of take our place on the line. Most of the collector’s here are pretty nice so hopefully it won’t be too crazy. I really need Marcia Cross and Eva Longoria one my Housewives poster. This post has been my pet project for the past few years, and I can’t wait to get it done and framed, and on my wall.
5:29 p.m. – I also brought a couple DVD’s for Patricia Clarkson who I heard might be here, my silence of the Lambs insert for Jodie Foster, my Transamerica DVD for Felicity Huffman, my second Housewives poster for Dana Delany, and my Fargo insert for William H. Macy. I’m not sure what to expect here honestly because I have never been at a premiere at this theatre before. I could be a total bust. Oh well.
5:41 p.m. – They did give us a pretty good place near the red carpet, which is cool. This is such an indie film however I’m not sure the security and such know what they are doing…I always hate that.
6:22 p.m. – Arrivals were supposed to start at 6 but Elle Fanning (Dakota’s Sister) was the first to arrive a couple minutes ago. Oh… There’s Felicity Huffman and William H. Macy. Dude, Felicity looks AMAZING! She is in this canary yellow dress, and just is so striking. I’m hoping Marcia Cross and Eva Longoria show up.
6:34 p.m. – Felicity is doing the press line. I have met her twice before, and she has always been super nice. I’m hoping that this isn’t an exception.
6:39 p.m. – Elle just came over and signed for the fans. It’s so strange with child actors because I always feel a tad creepy around them. Like I’m the evil troll that lives under the bridge.
6:44 p.m. – Oh, William H. Macy is coming over. He is so nice and laid back.
I got him on my Fargo insert and I got a pic with him as well.
He was very friendly and was just hanging out with everyone.
6:52 p.m. – There’s Felicity, she is coming over and said she would just do the line. I already have her on my DH poster and my second DH poster so I got her on my Transamerica DVD.
She saw it and said, “Oh Transamerica!” I told her it was one of my favorite movies, and she seemed very excited by that.
I also got a picture with her.
7:06 p.m. – Out of the corner of my eye behind me, I see one of the guys getting a picture with someone by the parking garage. I look more closely and my God it’s Jodie Foster. I go over with a couple other collectors’ and she said she was in a hurry, but I still got her to sign my Silence of the Lambs DVD insert.
She was so nice, rushed but nice. This is a big one for me, and I never in a million years thought I would get her EVER. I’m a little shocked, and very stoked… Does anyone ever use the word stoked anymore?
7:11 p.m. – Jodie is on the red carpet now, but does it really quick and does not come over to sign for us again.
7:13 p.m. – Marcia Cross just arrived. Damn it! She’s not doing the red carpet and just going inside… ugh…
7:16 p.m. – Eva Longoria just arrived… and she’s not doing the red carpet either! Ahhhhhh… Sigh…
7:19 p.m. – Oh, and there’s Dana Delany inside, she slipped by as well… These Housewives are a tricky bunch. I have Dana on my big Housewives poster but I would like her on the second.
7:33 p.m. – It’s pretty much over now, so… now I have to wait till the event ends to get EL and MC. Sigh…
7:43 p.m. – A couple of us are going to get some soup… I do love soup. MMMMMMMM soup is good food. Have I mentioned that the slight fever has made me kinda loopy.
8:45 p.m. – Dinner/soup… Is soup considered a dinner food or a snack dinner food? Hmmmm Yes, these are the things I ponder. Anyway, I just finished with the snack/dinner and I’m heading back to the premiere. It should let out around 9:15 or so…
9:09 p.m. – Oh, the movie is over. And there’s Marcia Cross making a B-line out of there. I ask her so politely if I can get an autograph. She doesn’t even look over and keeps on going. I follow her for a second along with a couple other collectors’ and she apparently mutters something like… “I’m in a hurry.” My friend got a couple from her in the beginning, but apparently I will not finish my poster tonight. Ugh.
9:10 p.m. – I almost run into Dana Delany and she is very polite. I ask her to sign my DH poster #2 which she is happy to do.
This is the second time I have met her and she has always been very nice.
9:16 p.m. – Eva Longoria is coming out now. She signs a few but doesn’t really seem that happy to be signing. I have heard she is really nice, but tonight she is not really into it. I get her on my DH poster #1 and that makes me very happy.
At least I got one… Now, I just need Marcia Cross… Marcia why do you torment me?
9:22 p.m. – Oh, and there’s Jodie Foster. She is signing again for everyone. She is so sweet. I wish I brought something for my friend Annette but I honestly never picked anything up for her since I didn’t think in a million years I would ever get her. I ask her if I can get a photo, and she was like, “sure.” She puts her arm around me and I get a really nice photo with her. I am so stunned… I mean really stunned.
She was super cool, and very down to earth. I have heard she is quite difficult and I’m still in shock at how nice she is. I might have just caught her on a good day, and I will say everyone was super cool with keeping a safe distance and being very polite, but that was an amazing experience. Dude, she rocks!
Until next time kids…

So, on this occasion, Jodie is Dr. Jekyll and gets a Happy Theo Award!!
Pretty sure we were talking about it at Matthew Fox/ Emily Van Camp. So jealous!!
I always enjoy reading your stories. Thanks, Mike.
I always thought Jodie Foster was a tall woman. How tall is she? She looks little compared to you. hahaha By the way, your email is not working. Thought I’d tell you.
