John Carpenter’s Tales Of Halloween Night Book Signing! Meeting The Legendary Horror Director! Autographs! And More!

With Halloween just a week away I had to head down to the Tales From A Halloween Night book signing. John Carpenter has done a signing at Golden Apple for the past few years and it’s always a fun treat to meet the man behind so many classic films.

You can get one book and a personal item signed as well as an item purchased at the store. Participating in the signing were:

STEVE NILES
TONE RODRIGUEZ
TRENT OLSEN

I headed down and met up with pretty much everyone I know. Ace, Chris, Big Mike, Alex, and even Paul was on hand.

The nice thing is that if you pre-ordered the book you got a line pass. So I did that and then got my book and item from the store and hung out with Ace, Chris and the gang.

It was a nice day, a tad hot and sticky, which is nice if you’re with a lady but not if you’re with Ace.

Time got closer to one p.m. and as I got in line, I spotted Paul. We got to catch up and chat in line. Then I got my place and awaited my John Carpenter meeting.

The line moved swiftly

and when it was my turn, I thanked John Carpenter for doing the signing and he said, “welcome.”

Not a chatty man that John Carpenter. But he was in the signing mode. I got my book, My Escape from New York mini poster and my Snake Plissken reaction figure signed.

The other authors signed and I was done.

The line was still pretty long but I had a Michael Myers Pop Vinyl burning a hole in my bag and decided to buy another book to get that signed.

So, I helped Ace get some comics done, my book, my Michael Myers reaction figure, and my pop vinyl done!

Boom!

It was a long day, but a lot of fun!
