Manic Mondays! Meeting Brat Packer Andrew McCarthy! Along With A Random Encounter With Buffy The Vampire Slayer’s Joss Whedon! Autographs! Photos! Grrr Argh!

Today is my last day with Theo Shag A Popolis… 🙁 I’m a tad sad but you know what’s a Theo visit without a little Goonie adventure. So, when Pinky called and was like, “You have to come to Andrew McCarthy’s Q and A!” I was like… Well… Why not. I mean I need Andrew McCarthy to sign a couple more things and I would love to get a photo with him so… Why not right?

So, I loaded Theo up into the car and off we went!

6:01 p.m. – I just arrived and Pinky is already here as well as OTG John. I hear Liz and Greg might also be coming but I don’t see them. Pinky has her dog Sammy Rhodes with her and I’m a tad concerned as Theo doesn’t love other dogs. lol…

6:09 p.m. – Theo and Sammy aren’t really hitting it off, in fact Theo in in my lap huddling for cover lol…

6:11 p.m. – Theo is trying to be friendly though. Honestly, he’s more of a people dog, then a dog’s dog. He likes hanging out with humans not other canine’s lol…

6:21 p.m. – Andrew McCarthy is here for a book signing at 6:30 and then a screening of Less Than Zero. I must admit I haven’t seen Less Than Zero in a long long time. I really need to watch it again.

6:26 p.m. – I’m a tad shocked that Andrew isn’t here yet. The signing starts at 6:30 and still he’s not here. It doesn’t bode well.

6:39 p.m. – Man Andrew is late! Damn…

6:43 p.m. – Still no Andrew McCarthy… With a signing at 6:30 you would think he would have been here by now… Unless we missed him… I don’t think we did though.

6:54 p.m. – Oh, there’s Andrew! Even though he’s really late he stops to sign for everyone waiting.

I got Andrew on my Weekend At Bernie’s min poster and then he signed my Pretty In Pink mini poster as well.

Then Andrew signs and signs. he’s so nice. Pinky gets a photo with him as well.

Then I quickly got a photo with him as well. I have to tell you Andrew is such a nice guy. It’s crazy that he still took time for the fans even though he had to run in really fast and he was super late…

7:01 p.m. – Liz and Greg just arrived and are talking about going to the book signing. Now, I was going to go to the signing itself but we couldn’t without going to the movie and clearly I can’t take Theo to the movie. LOL…

Pinky ended up going in and had Andrew sign her poster collage. She made a collage of a lot of her 1980’s celebrities she hearts.

7:08 p.m. – Pinky brought a couple friends with her visiting as well. For the life of me I can’t remember anyone’s names but they are super cool and even got Pinky a copy of Andrew’s book! Nice!

7:15 p.m. – We’re just hanging right now honestly, I’m catching up with everyone, OTG John wanted a pic with Theo and let me tell you who wouldn’t want a photo opp with Theo. He’s the cutest.

7:16 p.m. – Pinky is taking off. Theo is saying goodbye to her and Sammy. Even though Theo is way more interested in biting Pinky’s keychain. LOL…

7:22 p.m. – I’m saying my goodbye’s when Greg looks up and spots Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Avenger’s director Joss Whedon just walking down the street. I about passed out. Joss Whedon, the man, the myth, the legend! Walking by himself with a notepad down the street. Dying now.

7:23 p.m. – I whipped out my camera and threw it at Greg, and I quickly asked Joss if he would mind if I got a quick photo. He was so kind. I hate stopping people randomly like that, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do! lol… I told Joss how much I love Buffy and then Greg got a quick photo with him as well. Nice!

Well, that turned out to be a really fun night! Andrew was awesome, there were cool peeps out and hello! A bonus Joss Whedon! Color me happy!! Even Theo had a great night! Whoo hoo!
