Manic Mondays! Pinky Finally Meets Her Single Guy! Yep None Other Than Jonathan Silverman! Pop Culture Goodness!

Hello, my lovelies. Pinky Lovejoy here taking a walk down memory lane today and talking about someone that I haven’t seen in much lately (although, according to imdb.com, it looks like he’s still getting consistent work). I think the first time I saw Jonathan Silverman on TV was when he played one of the girl’s boyfriends on “Gimme a Break.”

I loved that show!

Shortly thereafter, he stole our hearts in “Brighton Beach Memoirs.”

But he’s probably best known for the hilarious film “Weekend at Bernie’s” with Andrew McCarthy.

Who could forget the hysterical antics that occurred as two guys tried to hide the fact that their boss and host had passed away?
 

Still, I think the favorite thing I loved Jonathan on was a short-lived sitcom called “The Single Guy.”

Unfortunately it only lasted two seasons, but I was a huge fan and am not afraid to admit that I was rocking a bit of a crush on Jonathan at the time. Ever since then I’ve wanted to meet him. 

A few weeks ago I was talking to Liz about him and how much I wanted to see him. As luck would have it, he was out over Oscar weekend and I was finally able to meet him and get a picture together. Plus, I was able to tell him how much I loved “The Single Guy,” which I think surprised him a little bit. As I’d hoped, Jonathan was super nice and friendly, which, of course, I always appreciate.
