I honestly love the classic television shows of my youth. Those seem to be my favorite things, no matter how “good” or “bad” they are, the memories associated with those movies or television shows are what makes them so iconic in our minds.

Hello, my lovelies. Pinky Lovejoy here excited to share that Happy Days are here again! I know, I know, it’s a bad pun, sorry – I couldn’t resist! I was trying to think of an Oscar-inspired Manic Monday for you, but the closest thing I could get is that Oscar season makes people happy (and excited) and since I’ve met two more members of my beloved Happy Days at some pre-Oscar parties, I couldn’t pass up the chance to share the stories with you.

You may remember that my earliest childhood celebrity memory was the poster that hung over my bed of “The Fonz” from Happy Days. From the time I was five years old I’d kiss his picture every night before I went to bed and loved him probably up until the time that Ricky Schroder entered the picture. My love for the show, however, lives on. Happy Days was such a great show to watch – I loved seeing all the characters grow up onscreen. I felt like they were my friends and meeting them now is like a dream come true.

But this week I got to meet not only Ron Howard (who played Richie Cunningham), but also Scott Baio (who played “Chachi”). Wahoo!

Ron Howard hosted a pre-Oscar party the other night and I couldn’t wait to meet him. Everyone had said how nice he was and were sure he’d come over to the barricade to greet us, but, sadly, that didn’t happen. As he left, though, he pulled his car over to sign some autographs (which is an odd choice, considering the car got mobbed and it seems like the barricade would’ve made more sense), but right before he left I told him what a big fan I was and he was kind enough to pose with me. Sure, it’s a car picture, but it’s still Richie Cunningham!

It’s funny – I think I was even talking about Scott Baio the night I met Ron Howard and how much I wanted to meet him. To my surprise and delight, there he was as a guest at an event last night – score! Scott was very cool and friendly when he left and made sure to pose and sign for everyone. See, what did I tell you? Happy Days are here again!
