Throwback Thurs! Meeting Reese Witherspoon & Renée Zellweger One On One! Autographs! Photos! And More!

I was taking a look around and thought… Hmmmm Throwback Thurs? What do I do? And then it hit me! Reese Witherspoon and Renee Zellweger!

Today has been sort of a trying day, butI got a tip from a friend that none other than Ms. Reese Witherspoon and Renée Zellweger are at a private event in Beverly Hills. So, I figured I would try to get my Election poster finished by Ms. Witherspoon.

7:15 p.m. – I just got here and there are… two of us… exactly two of us. My friend has a giant one sheet dry mounted of Legally Blonde… there is no mistaking that! LOL… I brought my Election poster I just had Mathew Broderick sign, a Penelope poster, and my Legally Blonde insert as well. For Renée I have an original Empire Records press kit and a New In Town poster. I know… all random… lol…

7:22 p.m. – I heard that this was going to start at 7:30 so I got here just in time… I’m a little surprised there are not more people here…

7:31 p.m. – The carpet has started… The Jenner’s are here sans Brody.

7:34 p.m. – This is a party for Vera Wang, and oh… well she just joined the red carpet… lol… So it really is a Vera Wang party…

7:36 p.m. – One of the Olympic Gold medalists is here… for the life of me I can’t think of his name.

7:40 p.m. – Ah, well… some girl from Lost is here… I don’t watch the show… (I know I have to start but I want to wait until it’s all over and start from the beginning)…

7:43 p.m. – And here’s a car… and it’s Renée Zellweger! She pulls up and poses for the photographers. I’m getting my stuff ready, and she is doing the carpet… She comes over and we ask her to sign. Again, there are only two of us! She’s like sure. My friend hands her a blue sharpie, and we’re getting ready… she says, “Do you have black, because I don’t like signing in blue.” Well, I have nothing ready, and my friend doesn’t have a black… I start rummaging through my bag like a ferret in heat and Rene patiently just waits and talks with a few people.

7:46 p.m. – I found a black sharpie!

She signs for my friend, and then I pull out my press kit… Rene stops, and looks at it. She opens it and starts to flip through it.

I tell her, “It’s the original press kit.” She says, “Really?” I say, “It’s one of my favorite movies.” She says, “Oh my, this was a hard movie to make.”

And then signs it, and then she signs my poster as well. She even waits and takes pictures with both my friend and I. She is so nice. Shockingly nice!

7:51 p.m. – I put my things over on the side, and… oh, here’s another car… it’s Reese! My friend grabs his Legally Blonde one sheet and goes to the other side. The picture of a man running with a Legally Blonde one sheet is a sight to see let me tell you. He asks Reese to sign, and she stops, and says, “Do you carry this around with you everywhere?”

She comes over and signs it, and as she is personalizing it, she messes up the spelling. Now she is apologizing profusely,

I ask her to sign my Election poster to Mike, and she says, “Oh wow, now you have everyone!” And then she clapped for me! LOL…

Just shocking! She is so so so so sweet.

Then I flip my board over and ask her if she would mind signing one more. She says, “Oh Penelope! Sure!” So she signed that as well.

Then my friend gets a picture with her, and they rush her off to the carpet.

7:56 p.m. – Reese is now done with the carpet, and she comes right back over to us. My friend has the Vanity Fair Reese was on the cover of a couple years ago. She signs it, and apologizes AGAIN for the spelling mistake on the one sheet. Then she signs my Legally Blonde insert, and I ask for a picture.

She says yes, but my friend tries to jump in and get another pic, she tells him, “Let’s not be greedy now!”

but this messed up my photo op, and they wisked her inside. Sigh… Oh well, there will always be another time, and I am just really happy that I got what I got. She’s a tough one, and I’m so happy we caught her in a great mood!

8:01 p.m. – A few other people have arrived Mila Kunis, and the girl from Full House… Lori Loughlin, but I didn’t really bother since I had such a good experience… Getting dissed by Anne provided some good karma! Yay!
