Throwback Thurs! Meeting Comedy Legend Robin Williams! The Killers! Brandon Flowers! And More! Autographs!
With the anniversary of Robin Williams death yesterday, I thought it was only fitting that todays Throwback Thursday would be about Robin. I mean who didn’t love Robin Williams. One of the funniest comedians ever. He was manic, he was crazy and he was hilarious!
So many classic films, Mrs. Doubtfire, Good Morning Vietnam, Dead Poets Society, etc…
All classics.
Robin Williams is still missed and will be for years to come!
Check out Throwback Thursday below!
Robin Williams is out and about today filming a talk show and I’m excited because over the years I have amassed quite a few things for the funny-man. How? I don’t know. Sigh… The Killers are also out and I love them, so it’s going to be a fun day! God willing.
Literally 20 minutes after I got here Robin arrived! He was walking inside and we all yelled for him. He stopped, looked over and walked back over to us.
Dude, that was just so nice.
He started at one end of the line and went down. Now, his autograph… Not the best. Seriously… It’s pretty bad. LOL… But still… It’s Robin Williams.
I Had Robin Sign my Good Morning Vietnam mobile and then I held out my original Rolling Stone magazine from… Oh God… You don’t want to know how long ago. LOL…
A friend of mine didn’t have anything and got my Mrs. Doubtfire uk quad mini poster signed for me.
I also have a Good Morning Vietnam mini poster. As Robin was leaving he saw it and signed that one too.
For this one I got more than the normal R____ it’s like R_______ Wi__________ Hey, that’s one of my favorite movies, so I’m stoked.
A lot of people left once Robin went in. I know what’s going to happen. After the The Killers play it’s going to be madness. LOL…
The show is starting and I didn’t know but some of the Modern Family kids are here today as well. Not that I want to start another Modern Family cast. LOL…
Scotty and I are chatting, listening to the music, answering all of Chris’s questions. You know, the usual. LOL… Billy Beer isn’t here and it’s odd I have to tell you. I’m like… A night on the town without Billy is strange to say the least. Doh!
It does seem like forever… The Killers are playing now… Man, Brandon Flowers sounds so good. Live they are such a great band. So damn good. I’ve seen them since Hot Fuss was just released. I’ve probably seen them 30 times.
Nolan Gould is leaving now. Such a nice guy. he comes over and signs everything and anything.
Then Sarah Hyland is leaving as well and is also super nice coming right on over.
And now.. The mass of people from the concert are here. We literally went from 8 to 80 in a matter of minutes. Doh.
I’m only a little crushed. LOL… I brought my Hot Fuss vinyl (original issue on blue vinyl) and my picture disc and also a vinyl banner from Day and Age that I need Dave and Mark on.
We’re waiting and waiting… Scotty has a giant poster he’s screaming for people to sign. LOL… God love him.
Ronnie is leaving and he’s always super nice. He plays with the crowd and then signs away. I had Ronnie sign my picture disc in gold and Scotty got him on his poster.
Then out comes Mark, who, while not the most personable person in the world is still super cool to sign for everyone. Then it’s the man himself! Brandon Flowers comes over and is hyper nice.
He signs for everyone!
Chris and Scotty help me out, so I got my Hot Fuss Vinyl, my Day and Age mini poster and I had Brandon finish the picture disc (It already had Dave on it) Woo Hoo!
Brandon was so nice. I got a couple things signed for the girls in the back as well. Never hurts to pay if forward.
It was a long night, but so worth it! I’m stoked!!!!
Until next time kids…

Super jealous of Brandon! One of my favourite bands, have met Ronnie, Dave & Mark by complete chance passing their hotel once, but Brandon wasn’t with them. One day!!
That’s a super RW signature too, best I’ve seen in a long time!
