Who doesn’t love Willy Wonka? I know I do clearly! Pinky and Keith headed out a couple weeks ago. I mean who doesn’t love Willy Wonka? It’s one of the most iconic films in history.
It’s super rare that all of the Wonka kids are together, so you have to get them when you see them right!!
Check out Pinky’s recap below!
Hello, my lovelies. Pinky Lovejoy-Coogan here still on a big of a sugar high (see what I did there?) from meeting the Willy Wonka kids – that is, the kids from the original Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory movie.
Granted, they’re not kids anymore, but that’s how everyone remembers them. I loved this film growing up, so being able to meet them firsthand was a real treat.
Initially Keith and I didn’t plan to get autographs or pictures with them, but then Suddenly Susan was cool enough to give us her extra poster (thanks again, Susan!) and that inspired us to get it signed. Our only condition was that “Mike TeeVee” (Paris Themmen) did the picture, as well, as he wasn’t really doing them earlier in the day (if you read Mikey’s recap, you’ll see he got pictures with everyone but Paris).
We started at his table, figuring if he did it, we’d be able to get everyone else, and we lucked out by having him do a picture with someone right in front of us. So, when we asked for a picture he said, “Well, I can’t really say no now that you saw me do it with someone else.” Score!
Our favorite person was probably Julie Dawn Cole, who played Veruca Salt.
I loved that she wore a red dress and added, “I want it NOW!” to her autograph.
The film was such an iconic treasure, I love that we now have some new artwork for our house. And the pictures turned out great!
