Hello, my lovelies. Pinky Lovejoy-Coogan here grateful for random encounters.

Last week I was at an event with Lizzie when a guy walked by us on his way to pick up some takeout from the restaurant we were standing by. As soon as I saw him, I knew who it was – none other than “Tony Russo” from Blossom.

Not wanting to call him by his character’s name, I quickly looked him up on imdb.com and found out his real name, Michael Stoyanov, and patiently waited for him to come out (I say patiently, but Liz will assure you I was anything but).

Back in the day, I LOVED watching Blossom, so getting to meet the guy who played Blossom’s oldest brother, Tony, was a big deal.

When he finally made his way out of the restaurant, I asked him if I could get a picture with him. He seemed a bit shocked, but was very sweet. He asked me what I recognized him from and then quickly added, “Not Blossom, right?” I admitted it was, in fact, Blossom, and he told me I had a good eye! Thanks, Michael!

A few years back I’d been able to meet both Joey Lawrence (who played Joey Russo)

and Mayim Bialik (who played Blossom Russo)

who were also on the show, so I was really excited to meet Michael. Always love running into old faves from the past!

As an added bonus, today is the two year anniversary of the day Keith and I met at an autograph show. So, Happy “Meetaversary” to my guy, Keith Coogan! Hooray for surprise encounters!
