Fresh off The Boat is one of the funniest series on TV! I’m so glad that it scored a third season renewal! Recently, Pinky and I were able to attend a wonderful FYC event with the cast. It was a blast to say the least!
Check out her recap below!
Hello, my lovelies. Pinky Lovejoy-Coogan here thrilled that one of my favorite TV shows survived the bloodbath that happened at the end of this season. Although many other shows did not (R.I.P. Mysteries of Laura….stop making fun of me, Mikey), Fresh off the Boat will happily return next season. Hooray!
As someone who loves the ‘80s and ‘90s, the shows that are set in those decades (like The Goldbergs and Fresh off the Boat) make me incredibly happy. It’s so much fun to see the references of the day and remember what was going on in my life during the same period of time. Although I’d previously met Randall Park,
who plays the dad on Fresh off the Boat, and all the boys (Ian Chen, Forrest Wheeler, and Hudson Yang) who play the kids,
I had yet to meet Constance Wu, who plays the mom and steals every scene she’s in. She is so funny on the show; I love her! I’ve actually gone out to several events to try and meet her, but have ended up missing her for one reason or another. So I was thrilled to see that she’d be a part of the FYC panel for the show a few weeks back. Not only would Constance be there, but also Lucille Soong, who plays Grandma Huang, and Chelsey Crisp, who plays Honey. Hooray! I anxiously awaited the panel and loved every second of it. The episode they showed was great and the panel had a lot of laughs. When the panel ended, there was the usual rush of the stage and everyone was more than happy to pose with fans. They even mingled at the reception, which doesn’t always happen. Stoked! Now if only The Goldbergs would have an FYC panel….
