Manic Monday! Pinky Grabs Her Bag Of Quaker Oats After Meeting Wilford Brimley! Selfie Goodness!

It’s Manic Monday!

So much has been going on this weekend! But Pinky still had time to head down to Monsterpalooza to meet none other than Wilford Brimley. Wilford was the star of The Thing, Our House and so much more.

Hello, my lovelies. Pinky Lovejoy-Coogan here completely exhausted from one of the busiest weekends I’ve had in a long time. Friday night was Monsterpalooza, Saturday was a screening and Q&A with Angelina Jolie, and on Sunday was the Emmy awards. I’m beat!

In the midst of these events, we’ve also been trying to prepare and get ready for Salt Lake Comic Con which Keith will be a guest at this weekend, September 21-23. If you’re in the Salt Lake area, please stop by and say hi!

One of the main reasons I wanted to go to Monsterpalooza was to meet the legendary Wilford Brimley.

For anyone growing up in the eighties, it’s hard to remember a time when he wasn’t on our TV and movie screens. In our household, we loved his TV show Our House which ran from 1986-88.

But, of course, who could forget the Cocoon movies, his oatmeal commercials,

or his role on The Thing. Wilford Brimley is a national treasure and I was thrilled to meet him in person. Such a recognizable voice! Very nice man (just wish he would have smiled in the pic).
