Mr. Popper’s Penguins World Movie Premiere Debacle! Jim Carrey! Dick Van Dyke!

I’m sorry this is so late, when it comes to movie premiere’s I usually try and get the write ups done faster, however I think I was trying to block this one from my mind… sigh… This is the Mr. Popper’s Penguins premiere… And let me just say, it was not a good day; I have never even seen Jim Carrey out and about. Be it a premiere or a party, he’s just not around a lot… So, I was really hoping that I would get him at the Mr. Popper’s Premiere… Let’s just say… Well…. Read on… lol…

11:32 a.m. – I just arrived, and the carpet is pretty cool… Since there are penguins in the movie, they carpet looks like it is a snowdrift… Very cute!

11:43 a.m. – I have high hopes today, see I’ve never gotten Mr. Jim Carrey ever and I really want him to sign my Yes Man mini poster. I also have an original Ace Ventura When Nature Calls UK Quad mini poster as well… So, God willing I’ll get at least one.

12:03 p.m. – CB has been here since like 8:00 a.m. he’s crazy. Lol… He saved me a spot because my ass isn’t getting here that early, not on a Sunday! Lol… Scotty and Pinky are also coming today. Scotty really wants Dick Van Dyke who is supposed to be a special guest.

12:11 p.m. – There are people here, but it’s not insane like at some premiere’s….

12:23 p.m. – Oh, I see the snow is like cotton, duh… I thought it was like foam… hey it’s early whaddya want! Lol…

12:34 p.m. – There are the strangest characters walking around Hollywood today… There’s a Mickey Mouse that looks like an asymmetrical Mighty Mouse reject… Or something CB constructed… I can’t make up my mind which… lol…

12:49 p.m. – Everyone is in good spirits… Pinky is especially cheerful today…

12:54 p.m. – One of the Avatar creature people are here… Wow, that takes dedication to get dressed like that on a Sunday morning… Hey, I don’t think they have Starbucks on Pandora!

1:04 p.m. – The carpet has started… But really we are only waiting on one person… Except Scotty! Lol… Oh, and they are making it snow now… It is snowing on Hollywood Blvd… hide your photos everyone!

1:11 p.m. – Oh dear an unfortunate looking cross dresser is at the crosswalk… Darling, work it, but next time… A tip… Midriff shirts are not a good look. Just saying, not everyone can work the half shirt.

1:19 p.m. – Wow, it’s really snowing now…

1:22 p.m. – Okay, now it’s a blizzard… Literally a blizzard!

1:25 p.m. – Oh, there’s Dick Van Dyke…
Scotty is yelling like a banshee trying to get him to come over, but I don’t think that he can hear us… He’s not even looking over… not a wave nothing…

1:28 p.m. – Dick Van Dyke is now on the red carpet… sigh… Sorry Scotty…

1:37 p.m. – Oh, another car… Yep, it’s Jim Carrey…
He’s coming right over, but shit! He’s totally missing our section!

1:39 p.m. – He’s signing a lot, but it’s literally like three people deep over there… CB took off and will probably take out a family of four to get his poster done…

1:41 p.m. – I’m thinking maybe he will double back… Dammit, I’m running over now…

1:43 p.m. – Nope, done… Jim Carrey stopped and is back on the carpet… Jim stopped signing and started waving and shaking hands… He really didn’t sign as much as I thought… Grumble…

And that as we say is that kids… A total shut out… I’m really bummed too since I’ve never gotten Jim Carrey… I know there will be another time, and I can deal with it, but still it’s a bummer….

On the way out Scotty stayed and Jim Carey did sign a few, but for some reason he wouldn’t sign my Yes Man poster. Scotty took it for me… And Scotty was right next to Dick Van Dyke who waited to cross for at least five minutes but told Scotty sorry, I can’t sign. Sigh…

CB did get him on his Mr. Popper’s Penguins poster… And he did take out a family of four to get it. Lol…
