Ah kids films… They are like… a blister on my butt… lol… No, I’m kidding, but they do leave a bad taste in my mouth sometimes… I mean really… Yogi Bear? Really? It was just so bad…. And I mean like epic bad… And people say, “Oh, it’s for kids.” Now, I was a Sunday school teacher for years, (I know scary right?) so I know a little about kids… Well, religious kids with a penchant for swearing at inopportune times, but kids nonetheless…
Anyway, it’s with this knowledge that I say kids movies can be smart, funny and more “family” than kid… That’s all… Now, this new crop of movie posters does have potential… The first movie… well… Okay, I have to paraphrase this one with… I love the Smurfs… 
and just to prove that this is coming from a childhood place I am including a photo of myself with my old Smurf village… Sigh, I am so going to regret this…
I love this Smurfs poster though! It’s fun and reminds me of the Bill And Ted’s Bogus Journey poster from oh God, years and years back… I’m looking forward to it, only because it’s from when I was a kid… Okay, enough on that! Lol…
Also just released are two teaser posters for Puss in Boots coming out in November. I love these posters! They are adorable and God willing this will make up for the last two crappy Shrek movies… Ugh…
Plus, Puss in Boots was the best thing about the last couple films. Antonio Banderas was the perfect choice for his voice, and I do mean perfect!
And finally we come to Zookeeper… From the minds that brought you Paul Blart: Mall Cop… Sigh… Oh Kevin James… Now, a friend of mine just said, “This looks funny, I know… I’m shocked I’m saying that!” I’m shocked too, but what can you do right? I will hold off my opinion for now… but the poster is simple and fun.
