No Aliens In Prometheus 2!?! Ridley Scott Talks Blade Runner 2 And More Alien Spoilers!

Ridley Scott, the man behind Alien and Blade Runner just to name a couple of his iconic movies, has spilled a little more detail on his proposed Blade Runner 2 project and also Prometheus 2 as well.

Scott talked to Yahoo News and said he met with Harrison Ford before his accident on the set of Star Wars and that the script for Blade Runner 2 is finished. But he said this:

“It’s on the charts,” he reveals. “I can’t say when that would be yet, because of [Ford’s] thing with ‘Star Wars’. It’s a sequel – it’s what happens next. It’s quite surprisingly clever.”

And what is the state of Prometheus?

“Right now, as we speak, it’s being written,” he says. “I’ve had 15 drafts evolving. I definitely want to do that again because I really enjoyed doing Prometheus.

But what about actual Aliens in Prometheus?

“The beast is done. Cooked,” he says simply. “I got lucky meeting [Alien designer] H.R. Giger all those years ago. It’s very hard to repeat that. I just happen to be the one who forced it through because they said it’s obscene. They didn’t want to do it and I said, ‘I want to do it, it’s fantastic’. But after four, I think it wears out a little bit. There’s only so much snarling you can do. I think you’ve got to come back with something more interesting. And I think we’ve found the next step. I thought the Engineers were quite a good start.”

Well, I’m going to weigh in here… A giant squid, tentacle thing and black oozy junk do not in any universe compare to the horror that is the Alien Xenomorph. I mean that thing still gives me nightmares and I forgot “squiddy” was even in the room until the end of Prometheus.
