OZ The Great And Powerful Movie Premiere Report! Michelle Williams! Mila Kunis! James Franco! Sam Raimi! Bruce Campbell! Evil Dead Awesomeness! Rachel Weisz Disses! Autographs! Photos!

Today… Probably the biggest movie premiere in Los Angeles for 2013. It’s the OZ: The Great and Powerful premiere and with a cast that boasts Michelle Williams, Mila Kunis, James Franco and more… It’s pretty damn impressive.

Now, I’m going to be honest here… The name I’m most excited about is Sam Raimi. As every boy growing up in the 1990s can attest, The Evil Dead is amazing. It’s one of the best horror films around and Sam Raimi has been on my most wanted list for a while now. Plus, Bruce Campbell is supposed to be here and even though I know he’s not that cool out and about (he does the autograph circuit) you never know! It could be an OZ miracle!

2:05 p.m. – I just arrived. I was fortunate enough to leave work a little early to head down. I knew it was going to be crowded and thankfully Billy Beer and CB were already here and saved me a spot. The carpet is pretty cool!

2:16 p.m. – It’s not horribly crowded yet and I’m dying of hunger. Karalee just showed up and since she’s super awesome Billy and I made her come to lunch with us.

2:22 p.m. – Billy wants to go to Buffalo Wild Wings… I keep reminding me that it’s not Baja Fresh but that doesn’t seem to deter him… ;/

2:34 p.m. – I got a drink, had a sip and now I’m buzzed. Oh yeah. That’s it. It’s on like Donkey Kong.

2:41 p.m. – I’m trying to remember everything we talked about but I do remember how awesome it is to have Karalee there to make fun of Billy with me. Such an added bonus!

2:53 p.m. – Billy’s on like his third drink and is getting really red, lol… Oh that’s funny. I’m trying to be good on my diet but this is not the place. I need to get back to my sexy weight. It’s a goal this year.

3:01 p.m. – Fuck it, I really want those onion rings.

3:09 p.m. – Somehow, and I don’t know how this happened but Billy has steered the conversation to a random story of how he “stole” Nancy Reagan’s telephone number but was too scared to prank her. I think he would call now… He’s had four beers…”Ummm Hello, Mrs. Reagan… Are you The Nancy Reagan? No? Awww damn…” that was my Billy pranking Nancy Reagan impression. Thank you, Thank you, I do requests.

3:14 p.m. – Oh dear, Billy and I are torturing Karalee with Graphing stories… LOL… Poor thing!

4:31 p.m. – Okay we are heading back. Bye Buffalo Wild Wings you bastards for serving me onion rings when you know they are not on my diet and really you should have known that for god sakes but yet you insisted I get them… Oh, sorry word vomit!

4:41 p.m. – Oh there’s Scotty! He’s so happy to be here! (insert sarcasm) He brought some Michelle Williams photos for The Other Mike who is out of town.

4:54 p.m. – Now Suddenly Susan got us some Disney, OZ the Great and Powerful oversize mini posters, which was totally awesome of her. But they don’t fit on any boards, so Billy went into the garbage and got some cardboard. Personally, I thought he was going to make himself a house out of the cardboard box but no… He was using it to graph.

4:59 p.m. – I think if Billy did make a house out of the cardboard box then he would also have to make a sign that says, “Michelle Williams made me homeless.” If you get that joke, you’ve been in Hollywood too long!

5:11 p.m. – no one thinks that Rachel Weisz is going to sign so CB made a sign to try to help the cause. LOL… It’s not working.

5:34 p.m. – The Oz the Great and Powerful Balloon is up! It looks awesome! Woo Hoo!

5:44 p.m. – Scotty is prepping for Bella Thorne to be here. Scotty is Bella’s number one fan. See he printed another 12×18 photo for her. Love is in the air!

6:09 p.m. – Man, it’s getting late and this is taking forever! Grumble…

6:15 p.m. – I thought arrivals were at 6:00 p.m. Sadness…

6:21 p.m. – James Franco is in the mutha Fucking balloon! Great! That does not bode well…

6:27 p.m. – And Franco is still going up and down five feet in that damn balloon! He could have signed for everyone on the barricade in that time!

6:34 p.m. – Oh the first arrival it’s Joey King… She is the China Doll in the film.

She comes over and signs down the line and stops at CB who is next to me. Nice… Not boding well. If you can’t get Joey King it’s a sad day in Hollywood.

6:41 p.m. – Shit! There’s Ash himself! It’s Bruce Campbell and Ted Raimi! People are calling for both of them and Ted comes on over followed by Bruce.

I have so much for Bruce Campbell it’s not funny. I have an Evil Dead mini poster, the Evil Dead and Evil Dead 2 special edition DVD’s… Karalee and Scotty are helping me.

It’s Fucking ASH!

It’s fucking Ash man! He is so much nicer than I ever expected and signs down the line.

He signs all three things for me and I have to tell you, I’m pretty damn stoked! That’s damn awesome!

6:46 p.m. – Oh, someone spotted Greg Nicotero and calls him over. He is such a nice guy. Greg does all the zombies and special effects for Walking Dead and as luck would have it, I have my Walking Dead season 3 mini poster with me.

I didn’t even know Greg would be here! Greg even draws a zombie on it for me! I think I might just leave this one done with him on it and get another one for the rest of the cast.

6:53 p.m. – Zach Braff is here! Everyone calls and calls… I’m not sure if he is going to come and then finally he does. Zach Braff signs down the line pretty much and is really cool.

I have my Oz poster as well as a Garden State mini poster. Zach Braff’s publicist is like, “Wow, that’s vintage!”

He’s really cool and I think he makes his way down most of the line!

6:59 p.m. – Danny Elfman! He comes over and only signs a few before heading back. Sigh… Ah well… He didn’t get near me.

7:08 p.m. – Oh crap, I turned to my right and there’s James Franco signing autographs for people. Shit!

And then to the left is Michelle Williams… I have my stuff ready…

James Franco is going down and then security tells him to stop and pulls him away.

Billy is fit to be tied let me tell you!

7:09 p.m. – Michelle Williams is coming down and what the fuck… Security pulls her away before she gets to CB! I mean, we just got screwed by the two main stars of the movie!

7:14 p.m. – I’m still a little ticked man… Oh there’s Mila Kunis!

She is really nice at premieres. She’s not as friendly as in the past but she’s signing a lot.

I got her on my W Magazine from Black Swan days, and my Oz mini poster.

Then I got her on my Friends with Benefits mini poster because there was a small bottle neck which for once worked out in my favor!

7:19 p.m. – There’s Rachel Weisz. She barely waves as everyone calls out for her. Like a pained wave.

Wow… The least famous person in the main cast is the rudest? I have to tell you, that is pretty lame, I’m a bit disappointed Ms. Rachel Weisz… A bit disappointed!

7:22 p.m. – Billy ran around but I’m waiting here for Sam Raimi, I’m holding out hope that we can still get him… Sigh…

7:25 p.m. – And there’s Sam Raimi. He’s signing and then stops. Dammit!

7:26 p.m. – Wait, he’s back now and he’s going down the line. CB helps me with my Evil Dead mini poster and I have both DVD books out for Sam Raimi as well.

I’ve wanted to meet Sam for a long long time… And he did not disappoint. He signed anything put in front of him.

All of my stuff and he even did a drawing on my Evil Dead mini poster! Can we say awesome?!? So stoked!

So, I have to say, even though I had two big misses, I’m pretty happy walking away from his one. They can’t all be The Avengers premiere and I’m not sure what I was expecting, but I’m pretty happy that I was able to get so much and so many Evil Dead things completed. Plus, the added Bruce Campbell bonus… Pretty epic!
