Paleyfest 2013! It’s really a crazy weekend and it’s going to be a crazy week. It’s the second and final week of Paleyfest 2013 and tonight the cast and creative team behind Arrow is taking the stage.
Suddenly Susan is joining me for the festivities tonight and The Other Mike is around here somewhere running like a mad man as well.
Stephen Amell who is the title character in Arrow is going to be the one to get. He’s joined today by Greg Berlanti, Executive Producer
Marc Guggenheim, Executive Producer
Andrew Kreisberg, Executive Producer
Stephen Amell, “Oliver Queen”
Katie Cassidy, “Laurel Lance”
David Ramsey, “John Diggle”
Susanna Thompson, “Moira Queen”
To start the evening off we were shown a really short teaser clip. I was a little disappointed that it wasn’t more substantial but you know what can you do?
The panel was good and Stephen Amell was very adorable he was a little more… I’m not sure if the word is shy, but most definitely introverted than most guys who pose shirtless and half naked on their television shows posters.
The creators teased the final third of the season and I’m looking forward to seeing the entire series. I think that this one is going to last for a long time.
Stephen Amell said he loves exploring the times on the island now. It’s getting so much more interesting.
Tommy knowing that Oliver is the vigilante is going to change everything about the series.
Having Tommy in the loop creates too thin of a buffer and since Tommy is a good guy it’s going to be hard for him to deal with the fact his friend has killed people.
Greg Berlanti said that dropping the bombshell that Sara is alive, pays off stuff talked about in the pilot episode.
Susanna Thompson said that Oliver’s mother is between a rock and a hard place. She’s always making dals but she doesn’t see her as necessarily evil.
Laurel’s conversion to Black Canary is going to be earned and real. Oliver took five years to get to where he is now. It takes time.
Also Manu Bennett is going to appear on the island flashback’s depending on his schedule. There will be another third element added to the island flashbacks.
Stephen Amell said before he had a scene with Emily Bett Rickards, Oliver never cracked a smile. LOL..
Then the madness begins!
Now, I will say that this wasn’t nearly as bad as other Paleyfest panels this year but still there’s not much room to squeeze into. Suddenly Susan got right up to the front and I was in the second row. I don’t think I’ve made it to the front at any panel this year.
Stephen Amell came right over to our section. He had this silver paint pen though… Ugh… he signed my first mini poster and dammit it smeared!
Grrrr… The second one he signed right away and it looks great though.
Thankfully, I have two of the first one so I can get it redone some other time.
He really tried to sign as much as possible. Suddenly Susan got him to personalize her photo as well. Then I got my other mini poster from Comic Con signed.
I then got David Ramsey to sign my comic con poster in a cool green paint pen.
David signed for a few sections but I think that the cast was overwhelmed with how many people wanted them to sign.
At one point Stephen Amell looked up and was like, “whew!” lol…
Katie Cassidy was signing but being a little picky and sadly kept skipping my mini poster. I think it was just a lot for everyone in the cast.
Susanna Thompson was signing a bunch just next to me and I got her on my mini poster. Then Katie Cassidy came by and saw my poster and signed it!
Sweet! I can’t complain man, I got one poster with the four cast member here and two others with Stephen amell. I wish that one didn’t smear. Grumble. Ah well…
Still, I had a blast tonight and it was of course nice to finally see Suddenly Susan!
Until next time kids…
