Pretty In Pinky! Emmy Awards Edition! Meeting Her number One Chord Overstreet! Along With Modern Family stars Julie Bowen! Ty Burrell! Brittany Snow! Rachel Lee Cook! And More!

I have to tell you, this Emmy season… Not so great! However, the lovely Ms. Pinky has written a fine counterpoint to my earlier Emmy Party report! She had a fine time at the event.

Pinky actually makes a great point about the differences between autograph collector’s and fans who simply want photos with stars. Autograph collector’s have to pack, figure out who’s at an event, etc… While someone who just wants a photo always has their stuff with them. They just want a photo, so in a sense it’s a tad easier for them.

Check out Ms. Lovejoy’s report after the jump!

Hello, my lovelies. Pinky Lovejoy here to wish you a very Happy Emmy Week! You do know it’s Emmy Week, right? Otherwise known as my favorite time of the year….when all my beloved TV characters gather together at events throughout the city to celebrate their accomplishments, drink, and, well, I don’t really know what they do. And I don’t care as long as they hopefully come over and take a picture with me if I happen to be outside the event they’re attending. That’s not too much to ask, right? Now, my dear Mikey wrote up his grumble, I mean review, of the pre-Emmy party we attended the other night and I don’t know what he’s talking about. I had a great time. Of course, I think sometimes it’s easier for us “photo op” fans because we’re always pleasantly surprised by the turnout – I don’t see someone and instantly curse my luck because I didn’t bring some rare poster I wanted them to sign. I don’t care about that stuff; I’d just ruin it anyway. I always prefer the picture – and this event was perfect for that! I had great luck last year, so I thought I’d see if there were some surprises this time.

The first person to arrive was Kate Kelton, who was one of the twins on one of the Harold and Kumar movies. She was super nice and had a gorgeous dress on. While I realize she’s not a big name now, you never know what could happen tomorrow, so if it’s easy to do, I always like to get pics when I can (and then I already have it if they get big later).

Next we saw Ty Burrell who is always very cool to fans. I adore him.

Gabriel Mann is adorable on Revenge and I was thrilled to see him in person. Yes, I was probably a bit too excited, but I love him!

Michael Steger, Jr. from 90210 arrived next and it was awesome to see him in such a good mood, as the last time I met him he was kinda grumpy.

Renee Olstead from 13 Going on 30 came over next and she was as sweet as can be.

Last year was the first time I’d ever met Melissa McCarthy and I’m happy to report, like Mikey, that she’s amazing to fans. I’ve never seen her turn anyone down; in fact, I even got a picture with her while she held her Emmy last year. It was great!

As a longtime fan of Rachel Leigh Cook, I was super excited to see her arrive with her husband, Daniel Gillies, who actually made a movie with a friend of mine. I’d wanted to meet them forever.

Rachael Harris was probably the most fun we had while waiting – I loved that she went over and grabbed Reid Scott for us. Who does that? Thanks, Rachael, for the hook up!

Jenna Rink herself – Christa B. Allen – was a great surprise to see, as I’d never met her before and I love 13 Going on 30.

The Newsroom is one of my favorite new shows, so to see Thomas Sadoski in person was a lot of fun. Plus, he was great with my dog, which is always cool to see.

For a long time, we didn’t see anyone arrive and one by one the fans went home. A few of us stuck it out because I was bent and determined to finally get my longtime “unicorn,” Chord Overstreet. Although he basically ignored us on the way in (which was especially sad considering just how loud I was yelling), I held out hope that he’d come over at the end. Positive thoughts, right?

Retta from Parks and Recreation and Yvette Nicole Brown were the first ones we saw leave – they’d been hanging out and were so fun to chat with. They came over and took pics and told us how much fun they had. I love them.

A gold medal Olympian left that we hadn’t even seen go in – Tyler Clary – and when he walked by us stopped to take a picture. Yay!

We ended up moving up from where we’d been standing and were able to catch Julie Bowen leaving the party. She’s so awesome – I ran into her last week at a play and she told me it was nice to see me again and asked how I enjoyed the play. How sweet is that?!?!

Not too long after, Brittany Snow left (an hour after Mikey finally called it) and she was ridiculously nice. I’d never met her before, so I was stoked.

Finally, around midnight (sorry Monday!), my true love Chord Overstreet exited the party. He made a wrong turn walking to his car, so I was able to get up next to him and ask him for a picture. He was very cool about saying yes, but for some reason the picture is a disaster. Oh, well. Better than nothing, right?

All in all, it was a very successful and fun evening! Awesome friends, great pics, relaxing environment. Good times all around. Fingers crossed the rest of the events this week will be just as fun.
