Pretty In Pinky: For The Love Of Cameron Crowe’s Say Anything… And Ms. Ione Sky! Diane Court In Person!
“In Your Eyes, the Light, The Heat…” Ah, Say Anything… the infamous movie made by one of my favorite directors of all time, Mr. Cameron Crowe! Cameron of course did Almost Famous, Fast Times, Vanilla Sky, etc… Sigh… Anyway, Ms. Pinky, AKA Pretty In Pinky is out and about trying to meet Ms. Ione Sky.
Now, as is the case with a lot of celebrities from the 1980’s it’s tough to meet some of these rare names. Ione Sky is one of them! And I should have gone, but what can you do right? You can’t get to everything!
Ms. Pinky does though! Check out her encounter with Ione Sky after the jump!

Hello, my lovelies. Pinky Lovejoy here to talk about my undying love for the movie Say Anything and the film’s lead actress, Ione Skye. Yes, I know, I know, I seem to always be encouraging you to watch old ‘80s movies, but that’s only because they’re classic films and if you haven’t yet seen them, you owe it to yourself to do so. Say Anything is one of those films.
The film was written by the genius that is Cameron Crowe (who also wrote such classics as Singles, Almost Famous, Jerry Maguire and Fast Times at Ridgemont High) and is full of brilliant lines I could quote in my sleep.
Aside from When Harry Met Sally, this is probably the movie I’ve quoted most in my life. Who can resist such great lines as, “I gave her my heart and she gave me a pen,” “Kickboxing. Sport of the future” or “I want to be with your daughter. It’s what I’m good at.” Of course, there’s also the myriad of “Joe Lies” songs that always warm my heart. Just watch it. I promise you won’t be disappointed.
Last week I had the pleasure of meeting Ione Skye at a premiere and she could not have been nicer. I’ve loved the film for so long that I pretty much lost my mind when I saw her (don’t judge me) because I was so excited.
But she seemed genuinely touched by the attention and having such an enthusiastic fan. Her husband, Ben Lee, took our picture and even took another one when she looked away in the first one. Thank you, Ione, for being so cool.
