Have i mentioned by love of True Blood before? Have I? Well, one person to rival my love of the show is ms. Pinky! She loves her some Sam Trammell and i wouldn’t want to be the one who gets in her way! Pinky found out about a True Blood wrap party and even though I wasn’t able to do I’m glad she had some success!
It did come with a price as Pinky had to deal with a group of “dark cloud” creepy True Blood stalkers… Ugh… You can love a show just don’t LOVE a show… Ugh… But all in all it was a nice night for her!
Check out the Pinksters full report after the jump!

Hello, my lovelies. Pinky Lovejoy here still reeling about Sunday night’s episode of True Blood…I’m not going to give any spoilers away, but let’s just say (hypothetically, of course) that if they do away with my favorite character (which, as the whole world already knows, is Sam), I am going to break up with that show and never look back. Speaking of True Blood, a funny thing happened the other night. When I was looking at Twitter, I happened to see a few cast members tweeting about the show wrapping for the season, and then a short time later, someone else mentioned a Wrap Party. I tweeted back one of these people and asked when it was, and they told me. Score! Curious, I kept looking online hoping the location might be revealed and to my surprise and delight, it was. Now, I’ve never gone to a Wrap Party before, so I had no idea what to expect. I do remember there being one last year, but it was the night before I started my new job (which I’ve now been at for officially one year tomorrow – Happy Anniversary to me), so I didn’t go. However, since it was on a Saturday this year, I figured I didn’t have anything to lose and I’d at least (hopefully) get to see Sam Trammell (and any day I get to see Sam is a good day for me).
7:54 p.m. – We just arrived to the restaurant and it’s a strange set-up. No barricade, no security, and hardly any collectors. It’s enough to make you feel like maybe you’re in the wrong place. Still, there are a ton of paparazzi here and the restaurant is shut down for a party, so there’s got to be something going on. Maybe they’re just expecting a small turn out?
8:01 p.m. – No one knows what’s going on, so we’re just hanging out near the valet hoping for an arrival. Everyone here is pretty friendly, so it’s a nice atmosphere.
8:10 p.m. – Sam Trammell just arrived in a cab with his longtime girlfriend and mother of his twin boys, Missy Yager (who’s also an actress). They dropped closer to the door, so we almost missed him entirely. Luckily, one person spotted him, so we got to him just as he was on his way to the restaurant. Both Sam and Missy give me a hug (hooray!) and I get my picture with Sam (although I’d really like a picture of me and Sam hugging – why is no one ever taking that picture?).
For whatever reason, my new (tragic) camera decides to pitch a fit and makes the whole thing blurry. Fail.
My friend quickly goes into action and takes the picture with his camera. The angle is fantastic and I instantly fall in love with our new picture and plan out in my head how it’ll be my new Facebook profile picture the instant I get home.
Sam signs for the few people waiting and takes some pictures before heading into the restaurant. I’m not just being biased here – Sam is always a class act with fans.
8:13 p.m. – I’m trying to do test shots with my stupid new camera, which are all fine, of course, now that Sam isn’t posing with me. Grrrr. I still wish I could get the flash to go off sooner. Why do I always have such terrible camera luck?
8:17 p.m. – Carolyn Hennesy is walking quickly up the walkway with her head down. She walks right past us. As I never saw her at the premiere and enjoyed her work on Cougar Town, I briskly walk up to her and ask her for a picture, which she agrees to. So far, so good.
8:21 p.m. – A girl just got out of a car and walked quickly towards the door with her head down. I’m noticing a trend here and make a mental note to watch for anyone walking fast while looking at the floor. Oh, crap! It’s Anna Paquin! All alone! Where is Stephen Moyer? Several people ask for autographs and she signs a few while walking and then stops near the door to take some pictures. I should’ve asked, but I already have a few pictures with her and she seemed rush. I’m kicking myself for not taking my chance, but again, I already have it (although, when has that stopped me before? I have multiple pictures with practically this entire cast). Drat. This will bother me the rest of the night.
8:28 p.m. – The girl Mikey claims I lost my shizz over at the premiere (OK, fine, I totally did), Camilla Luddington, just walked by and is standing nearby waiting for a friend. She takes pictures with me and my friend and signs a few autographs. She’s always very nice. I decide not to fangirl out on her again.
8:31 p.m. – People are coming from all over, but it’s still very low-key. Dale Dickey walks out from a car right as Janina Gavenkar (who plays Sam’s girlfriend on the show – lucky girl!) arrives.
Both of them are very cool and stop to sign autographs and take pictures.
8:37 p.m. – A girl just walked by very briskly with her head down. She’s wearing a hat so it’s hard to make out who it is…oh my goodness, it’s Rutina Wesley! Now, Rutina will usually sign, but she’s probably the most prickly member of the cast in terms of being super fan friendly. Overall it’s an amazing cast, but Rutina is a tough one. I did get a picture with her once, but I had to practically beg for it and that was over a year ago. Tonight, though, it’s a different story. My friend asks her for a picture and she turns on the charm. I have never seen her so friendly before – I feel like I’m in the Twilight Zone. No Stephen Moyer, Alexander Skarsgaard, or Joe Manganiello, but a super happy Rutina Wesley? Where am I again? I decide to ask for a picture, as well, since I’ve never seen a happy Rutina, and she’s all smiles in the picture. Wow. Again, I’m floored.
8:43 p.m. – Ryan Kwanten arrives, but ducks his head and rushes right in. My friend needs him on a cast photo – Ryan is the only one left to complete it – but he ignores the request and rushes in as though he’s gone spontaneously deaf. Drat! Now (even though I would’ve been happy to leave after Sam arrived) it looks like we’ll be here until the bitter end (or at least until Ryan comes out).
8:47 p.m. – Kristin Bauer von Straten arrives with her hot musician hubby and they’re surrounded at their car when they try to get out. Who knew Kristin was so popular? She’s usually super nice, but seems a bit reserved tonight. Could be people not letting her out of the car, but what do I know? Kristin stops to do a photo with me and hurries inside once the group of people dissipates.
8:50 p.m. – Michael McMillian arrives and walks quickly by. I make sure to get a picture with him because I loved him so much on What I Like About You. He’s great on True Blood, as well, but I loved What I Like About You and wish it was still on the air. Shush.
8:55 p.m. – The one and only Alan Ball walks up from valet and I turn into a huge ball of mush. The genius that is Alan Ball! In all my years at True Blood events, I’d never been able to get a picture with him. That is, until tonight. He’s in a great mood and it looks like he’s with his dad who is as sweet as can be. He stands back so that Alan can greet all of his fans. I totally fangirl out and tell him he’s a genius and that the final ten minutes of Six Feet Under were the best thing I’ve ever seen on TV (which I fully believe). We take a picture, but I’m not very adept at this camera and cut off his head a little bit. Fail.
9:02 p.m. – Michelle Forbes arrives and looks adorable. She has pink streaks in her dark ponytail and is always great to everyone asking for a picture and autograph. I love her and how she treats everyone – especially considering she hasn’t been on the show in years.
9:04 p.m. – Hooray! Dale Raoul walks up from valet with her husband and I’m so excited. She had one of the best lines this season when she told Jason Stackhouse she was going to bake him a pie. My friend and I tell her how we were just quoting her and she writes “I’m going to bake you a pie” on his autograph. Score! We both get pictures with her and she goes on her way. So nice.
9:06 p.m. – Tara Buck just arrived with her hair down, which throws everyone off, since I’ve always seen her with her hair up. I decide I need to get a picture with her hair down and she’s kind enough to stop. Again, she’s always great to fans.
9:10 p.m. – Two guys walk up in a bit of a rush (which is a dead giveaway, apparently), and I realize one of them is Todd Lowe. I ask him for a picture and he stops for a minute.
9:20 p.m. – A few other people have arrived that I didn’t ask, but decide I’ll try on the way out since I’m here anyway. Looks like arrivals have pretty much ended, so now we wait for people to leave.
9:49 p.m. – There’s some activity at the front and a car is idling out front. Anna Paquin rushes to her car and leaves.
9:55 p.m. – Our super cute friend Liz has arrived with some friends from out of town and her husband, Gregg. Their friends are anxious to get a few pictures, but they’re nervous (being newcomers and all), so we try to help them out since they’re huge fans of the show.
10:05 p.m. – Lauren Bowles is leaving, so I ask for a quick picture. She’s always really cool.
10:09 p.m. – The adorable Chloe Noelle is walking out with her parents and is the cutest thing you’ve ever seen. I adore her. She plays the daughter of Sam’s girlfriend on the show and played Barbies with Sam in an episode last season. So sweet! She stops and poses with everyone. In fact, when you ask her for a photo, she says, “Of course, of course.” Both her and her parents tell us to watch tomorrow’s episode because it’s going to be great. I’m excited!
10:21 p.m. – Adina Porter is waiting at valet and I go over to ask for a photo. She just started work on The Newsroom (another great show) and I tell her I’m enjoying her performance on that show, as well.
10:39 p.m. – A dark cloud has arrived on the scene – a rabid group of True Blood fans who apparently camp out at the sets to see the cast all the time. There are a bunch of them and they look mean. Anytime someone leaves, they surround them and make it impossible for anyone else to get in. Luckily we’ve already seen the people we want. Still, it changes the vibe in the air and makes it less enjoyable. Up until now it was all fun and games.
10:45 p.m. – Alan Ball is leaving (so does that mean everyone can go home now?) and stops for more autographs and pictures. He’s still in his great mood as before and isn’t even fazed by the Dark Cloud Group surrounding him. I get another picture with him since I cut off his head last time. This one is much better.
11:14 p.m. – Sam and Missy are leaving and the Dark Cloud Group attack. In fact, Sam gets mobbed and it’s a bit of a fight. Still, he makes time for his #1 fan (that’s me, by the way) and signs my specially ordered Entertainment Weekly magazine (the one where he’s on the cover) that my friend was awesome enough to order for me (thanks, D!) and takes another picture with me on my camera (since, apparently, I’m unable to not get a picture with him when he’s nearby).
He’s happy to oblige, even though my camera decides, again, to freak out and take forever. Why is my camera being so difficult today when Sam is around?!?! I think it might be taunting me. On a different note, the Dark Cloud Group initially block Liz’s friend for a picture and Liz is fired up. You don’t want to get the normally sweet and angelic Liz mad, I’m telling you. Just don’t.
11:39 p.m. – Liz is mainly here for Michelle Forbes, who she’s never been able to get a picture with. I’m really hoping she gets her picture tonight.
11:46 p.m. – We’re being told the party ends at midnight, so it shouldn’t be long until everyone leaves.
11:58 p.m. – Giles Matthey walks out and we’re able to get pictures with him. He’s very cool, per usual.
12:04 a.m. – There’s Valentina Cervi! Where did she come from? I never even saw her arrive. Score! I’d never seen her before and she just joined the cast. She was happy to stop for pictures.
12:06 a.m. – Michelle Forbes is leaving and Liz finally gets her picture with her. Hooray! Success! I’m so happy for her!
12:10 a.m. – The Dark Cloud Group has descended on some random guy leaving the party. They’re hugging and kissing up to everyone they see and making it impossible for others to get in there until they’re all done (and all five need photos and autographs, so you can just imagine how long that takes). My friend and I decide to ask the guy for a picture (since we thought he could be new) and we’d figure out who he was later. Imagine my surprise and delight to discover that the guy in question was Allan Hyde who played Godric!!! I was thrilled! I never would have recognized him, so I suppose I do have the Dark Cloud Group to (begrudgingly) thank for that.
12:25 a.m. – People are slowly starting to make their way out, despite the music being off, and the lights being turned on. Finally, we see Ryan Kwanten making his way for the door and we make a run for it. My friend is very anxious to get his poster signed, but we notice that the Dark Cloud Group are also lining up for Ryan. This is going to be ugly, I can feel it. Sure enough, when he walks out, it’s a MAJOR battle for Ryan’s attention. Not only are we battling the Dark Cloud Group (who are feisty! And scrappy! And positioning themselves in our way so we can’t get through), but Ryan’s “people” are blocking him, too. This really shouldn’t be this difficult, especially when he didn’t sign at the premiere, but it’s a mess. I feel like I’m at war and spend the next 10 minutes being pushed by the Dark Cloud Group while trying to catch up to Ryan. This. Is. Horrible. Luckily, my friend got his poster done and then I was able to get a picture (that is terrible, but after all that battling I had to try for one). I have much better pictures with him from before, but it’s OK. It’s over. The mean people have left us and I can catch my breath. Ugh. That. Was. Awful.
12:37 a.m. – Finally, we can leave. The night was an overall success, despite ending on a battlefield. I walked away with some oldies, some new ones, and some favorites – and, of course, my new profile pic with Sam. I’m glad I came, but hope to never see the Dark Cloud Group again. Well, a girl can dream, right?

AWESOME WRITEUP AS USUAL PINKY! Wish I was there. Too bad there’s always going to be that one person/group that’s going to ruin an otherwise good event. Until next time….
Pinky, wow that was a pretty impressive night!
