Pretty In Pinky: What Do You Get When You Cross Duran Duran’s Nick Rhodes and True Blood Star Sam Trammell? Why Pinky’s Dog Sammy Rhodes Of Course!
Ah, Sammy Rhodes, the small puppy I owe a debt of gratitude to for bringing Ms. Hilary Swank across the street. In fact not only did Hilary Swank cross the street she played with Sammy Rhodes and was so joyful! We would never have gotten that photo with Hilary if it wasn’t for Sammy!
In her latest installment of Pretty in Pinky, the vivacious Pinkster discusses how her celebrity magnet dog came to be with her, and how he loves tromping through the streets of Hollywood on various adventures!
Check out Pinky’s tribute to Sammy after the jump!

Hello, my lovelies. Pinky Lovejoy here to talk about the biggest rock star celebrity I know…my sweet little puppy, Sammy. While he’s been mentioned on this site several times, I thought it was high time you received a proper introduction to the love of my life, Sammy Nicholas Rhodes.
I met Sammy when he was a mere six weeks old back in March of this year. He was named after my Big Loves:
Sam Trammell
and Nick Rhodes.
Initially I wanted to name him after Duran Duran, but I couldn’t figure out a cute Duranie name (Duran? Nick? Rhodesy? None of them seemed right). Finally, my sister came up with Sammy, which was perfect – combining Sam and Nick. Sammy was an instant hit among my friends, family, and he’s the biggest celebrity magnet I know.
It’s not often I have celebs asking to pose with me – but they ask to pose with my dog ALL THE TIME. Seriously, my puppy’s celebrity album is growing and growing. He’s the cutest!
The first time I took Sammy out in Hollywood, I knew this was no ordinary dog. My friend and I went to eat dinner at The Counter and everyone waiting outside started taking pictures with him and of him. When I went to an event, every celebrity wanted to snuggle him.
In fact, so many photographers and cameras wanted to tape him, I had to sign a release form. Now that Sammy is a whopping seven months old (and just over ten pounds), he’s just as popular. Even Angelina Jolie told me she loved my puppy. How could she not?!!?
Sammy’s met Sam Trammell in person (he came up to us and said, “Is this the dog you named after me?”), but has yet to meet Nick Rhodes.
Hopefully someday! Until then, we’ll be gallivanting around and having fun. For additional pink fodder, please visit www.pinkylovejoy.blogspot.com. As always, have a pink day!
