Justin Gets Dissed By Robert DeNiro Not Once But TWICE At The Family Movie Premiere In New York! But Gets To Meet Jean Reno & Luc Besson!

Tonight in New York City at the Lincoln Square AMC theater was the word premiere of Luc Besson’s new film, The Family.

The cast is star studded with Robert DeNiro, Tommy Lee Jones, Michelle Pfeiffer and Diana Argon as the leads. The security was so intense that one would think that President Obama was appearing. They had barricades everywhere and would not let anyone stand anywhere near them. Fans had to wait on the other side of the street or behind a special fan barricade that was nowhere near the red carpet or where the stars would be dropped off. To come over the stars would have to walk around two barricades, walk about 2,000 feet and cross in front of the theater’s entrance (which remained open to the general public).

The odds of getting any autographs seemed remote. I recalled there being a side door to the theater and saw several security guys outside. I decided my best bet was to wait there. Two others were waiting with me.

Word came that Jean Reno had entered the premiere. He is not in the cast but i loved him in the Professional. Security would not let us in the side door but we caught Mr. Reno’s attention as he chatted with other film goers. He actually came outside just to sign! Wow what a nice guy. I never thought that would happen.

Next to arrive was Mr. Besson. His SUV pulled up right near us and we called to him and he stopped and signed. Again could not be nicer. He is one of my favorite directors so I was thrilled to have met him.

It all went downhill from there. Deniro was next to arrive and he looked at us as we called out to him then looked away and went inside without stopping or saying a word.

A few minutes later Martin Scorsese walked out the door. Sadly he was getting in his car by the time we realized that it was him as we did not see him go in. He must have been dropped off elsewhere.

Shortly after Deniro reemerges. Again we ask. Mind you there are three people here. It would take him ten seconds to sign one each. Nope again totally ignored. He just got in the car and it drove off.

I went back around the building and spoke to a photographer I know and he said Tommy Lee Jones was not coming so I went back to the side door to wait for Michelle’s arrival. Michelle’s SUV and assistant arrived without her at the door. Then I saw cameras flashing around the corner. She went in the front unlike her co-star and director. Bummer!

The fans there said she actually came over to the barricade before she went in. Wow. that is impressive. I heard Deniro went back but two one on one disses in one night was enough for me so I called it a day.
