Rock Of Ages Movie Premiere Report! Tom Cruise! Catherine Zeta-Jones! Malin Akerman! Julianne Hough! Diego Boneta! Poison! Bryan Cranston! Russell Brand! Debbie Gibson! Autographs! Photos!

Ah, another day another movie premiere! Today is a big one though, it’s the new Warner Bros movie musical Rock of Ages! Whoo Hoo! I have had spotty luck with Mr. Tom Cruise in the past, yep, even a full on denial to my face. God bless him.

Anyway, I’m hoping that today is a different story. I’ve been looking forward to this premiere for a while. Rock of Ages is one of those movies that has a lot of potential and I’m hoping that it’s as awesome as the trailer. Sigh…

11:19 a.m. – I just arrived and thankfully Lynn, a friend of The Other Mike held spots on a couple different barricades. CB is here and held The Other Mike a spot next to Billy Beer.

11:34 a.m. – The sun is already out and bright!

11:48 a.m. – The carpet is already set up and looks really cool. It’s done up like the Sunset Strip

11:55 a.m. – There aren’t that many people here yet, I would say about 30 but out of those 30 probably 100 spots are saved. Ah, the time old tradition of saving spots. lol…

12:09 p.m. -The Other Mike just got here and we are all figuring out where we’re going to stand and such. I think The Other Mike is going to stand closer to the drop and I’m going to take the spot that CB saved for him.

12:16 p.m. – Oh a gaggle of Asian Jesus worshipers are chanting while walking along the blvd. I aways find that odd. I mean I get it. I love the big JC probably even more than the next guy but I don’t really want to walk in a circle chanting Jesus Is The Lord.

12:22 p.m. – The Other Mike and I are heading out to get some food. I think we are going to Chick-Fil-A… I don’t know what deal with the devil the folks at Chick-Fil-A have made, but it’s damn good. MMMMMMMMMMM Chick-Fil-A!

1:04 p.m. – Mike and I are back. I got to meet an awesome reader of the site who is also named Mike. I say it’s the best name in the world! He is standing near the edge next to Billy Beer. I love meeting people who read the site! It makes me so happy that people enjoy reading the site and it’s not just my Mom clicking 60,000 times. lol..

1:23 p.m. – Hot… Sticky and hot… Oh my Lord! It’s very sunny!

1:56 p.m. – OMG! I just turned around and I see My friend Melanie! I haven’t seen Melanie since… Oh gosh, it’s been like… six months at least.

2:21 p.m. – Melanie is with her friend Katie and apparently Katie is a huge fan of Russell Brand. Melanie is so frakkin fun and I’m so glad she’s here! It’s like a reunion!

2:34 p.m. – Melanie just told me that she doesn’t have anything and offered to help me with Tom Cruise. How nice is that! Awwwww…

3:21 p.m. – CB and Mike… The third Mike (God there are a lot of Mike’s here huh? There’s me Mike, The Other Mike, Big Mike, and now a new Mike…. God bless the Mike’s!) are comparing their love of Batman… The new Mike wins, sorry CB he has Batman ink. It’s true, that shit is pretty hardcore!

3:54 p.m. – There is a rumor going around that Tom is going to arrive an hour early and sign for everyone. I dunno about that.

4:32 p.m. – It seems like security is waiting for something or someone lol… Gosh, if he does arrive early, that will be a first for any celebrity!

4:45 p.m. – Billy Beer has a bet with a former Mike The Fanboy writer that tom Cruise will not arrive before 5:00 p.m.

5:00 p.m. – Holy shit! and I mean Holy Shit! Tom Cruise is arriving, there are two cars and… Fuck there he is! My God, Tom Cruise has not aged a day, I swear to God, he looks like he’s 34!

5:05 p.m. – Tom went to the end of the barricade and is doing the entire line.

He’s not just signing though, he’s honestly taking his time with everyone, talking to people, signing…

Again he’s not wracking and signing and signing he’s signing about 1 or 2 per person.

5:14 p.m. – Tom is getting closer to us now, not right here, but close enough.

I’m getting my stuff together. Melanie has my Valkyrie mini poster and also my Mission Impossible III UK mini quad poster.

Katie offered to get my Rolling Stone magazine from 1990 signed. How nice? It’s been so fun hanging out with them, the new Mike, The Other Mike, and Billy and other former MTF writers. It’s really made this day not only go by but fun.

5:21 p.m. – Tom is coming our way, I take out my Top Gun soundtrack LP. It’s not for me but for a really good friend for a birthday present. He’s going to love it!

Tom comes by signs the LP and then I tell Tom how much I’m looking forward to Rock of Ages.

I told him I saw the play at the Pantages and he was like, “Then you know how fun it is.” I said, “yeah, it’s going to be awesome.” He then remarked about how awesome the cast is and I was like, hell yeah.

He signed my Rock of Ages poster before signing the Mission Impossible poster and then doing a photo for Melanie and Katie.

It actually looks like the three of us are posing in the photo which is really fun! Then he signs the Valkyrie mini poster as well.

Katie then asks him to sign the Rolling Stone magazine and I think he had to lift off a ton of stuff that was covering Katie, but he still signed it beautifully!

5:34 p.m. – Tom is still going down the line.

I’m so excited and blessed that Melanie and Katie helped me out. Billy got a photo with Tom and he had Tom sign a photo as well.

5:43 p.m. – You know Tom is still going down the line. He is signing and spending time with everyone.

You know, I’ve always liked Tom and since this is my first Tom Cruise movie premiere I’ve never seen him in this type of environment.

I’m really impressed he is just taking so much time and not rushing through the line. Johnny Depp is really great about signing and stuff but Tom takes his time and gives everyone a moment. It’s very impressive.

5:48 p.m. – Billy Beer didn’t get his Rock of Ages mini poster signed so he’s heading down to the end of the barricade. Billy Beer takes my Risky Business mini poster as well because he only has one thing left.

6:02 p.m. – Tom is still signing for the crowd! Wow, that’s over an hour!

6:09 p.m. – Some arrivals but no one from the film…. Oh wait, there’s director Adam Shankman!

Adam comes over but he’s headed down to the other side. Dammit! He’s signing but it doesn’t look like he’s going to make it down to our end. Damn!

6:10 p.m. – Billy Beer comes back. He gave my Risky Business mini poster to another girl who didn’t have anything and she got my poster signed, but apparently Tom skipped Billy’s poster again! Doh!

6:11 p.m. – Julianne Hough is here! We are yelling for her but she comes and starts just to the right of me. Dammit another miss! She is signing quite a bit though just not for my section.

6:15 p.m. – Well, if there’s anyone to miss it’s Julianne Hough.

6:18 p.m. – Oh, there’s Diego Boneta who is technically the star of the movie.

We call him over and I think he signs for new Mike first, then Billy Beer and then for me! He’s really nice and trying to get to as many people as he can.

6:24 p.m. – Shit there’s Catherine Zeta-Jones! Damn… She’s heading down to the other side though…

Dammit! Wait, she’s moving fast! I mean like really fast… Wait…

Catherine Zeta-Jones just skipped a section and she’s right at us now.

She signs a photo for Billy Beer and then signs my Rock of Ages mini poster!

I’m so excited I was so hoping I would get her!

6:31 p.m. – Wow, there’s Poison! Like the entire band Poison!

And they are all spread out. I decide not to get them on my poster simply because I don’t want to have the bassist for Poison on my poster and not the entire band. lol…

6:34 p.m. – Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston is here.

I’m a little shocked he’s coming over… And… Fuck my life he skipped my poster. Melanie had my promo Breaking Bad poster and he signed that but he skipped my Rock of Ages mini poster.

Grumble… Thank God for Melanie!

6:41 p.m. – Ohhhh it’s Malin Akerman! Damn, she looks good.

But in that dress Malin needs be careful when she sits. LOL…

6:42 p.m. – Malin starts at the end and then keeps going down and signs up a storm.

I have my Rock of Ages mini poster and I asked Malin Akerman to sign my Maxim magazine as well. Malin was really nice as always she is super sweet!

6:43 p.m. – Paul Giamatti just arrived. He comes across and signs like 10 autographs and runs back over. grumble….

6:45 p.m. – There are some members of Journey crossing.

Okay, I have to break down and get them to sign the Rock of Ages mini poster. You just have to. It’s Journey!

6:48 p.m. – Alec Baldwin is here… He crosses and signs like for 45 seconds. Man… WTF!

6:51 p.m. – Mary J. Blige… She arrived gave half a wave and walked to the carpet. DIVA!

6:54 p.m. – Oh and there’s a car.. It’s, It’s… Russell Brand!

Katie is hyper excited! Russell opens the car door and immediately walks on over. His signature isn’t anything to write home about… Literally… lol… Nothing…

But he’s very nice and makes sure to spend time with the fans.

Katie and I both get him. Billy Beer got nadda… Doh!

Katie is really happy. She’s so cute!

6:59 p.m. – We just spotted Debbie Gibson on the carpet and call her over. I love Debbie Gibson… Is it Deborah now? I’m not sure. She is so nice.

I had Debbie sign the Rock of Ages mini poster and I told her I’m such a huge fan. I almost pulled a Pinky because I wanted to start singing Electric Youth but I didn’t lol…

7:06 p.m. – Fergie and Josh Duhamel just arrived in costume. LOL… Josh has a rocker wig with a open shirt. LOL… So funny.

7:12 p.m. – Tobey Maguire just arrived. We are begging him to come over and he does. He refuses to sign, like he will not touch a Sharpie to save his life. It’s like the Sharpie is fire and his ass is made of gasoline. He will shake hands with people. Wow…

Okay, that as we say is that! A long long day but well worth it I think. I was fortunate in getting so many things signed by Tom, and getting most of the cast on my mini poster. It was a long long day but you know it helped that I had such awesome people to hang with today!

Thanks again to Melanie, Katie and Billy for helping me out today. It’s hyper appreciated!
