SAG Awards Red Carpet 2018! Meeting Margot Robbie! Sean Astin! Jordan Peele! Allison Williams! Sterling K Brown! Timothée Chalamet! And More!
It’s SAG Awards time.
Usually, we have a really fun time hanging out, but this year… Things were a bit different. I generally get my tickets from a friend, but this year apparently they sold every single front row ticket in advance.
Interesting that in the regular auctions that were online they said, first come first served, front row not guaranteed. Interesting again, that they didn’t say, “Not gonna happen.” Crazy right?
So, we were second row, which never sits well with our little band of not so merry men.
Still, we persist.
It’s too insane to remember everything, and I can tell you a number of people promised to come back over and well… promises are made to be broken. Ahem… Here’s looking at you Nicole Kidman, Gary Oldman, Betty Gilpin, et al.
In all fairness, Nicole Kidman did sign at the other end of the carpet. Sooo… Even though I was bummed we didn’t her, I’m glad that she’s still nice!
Out of the casts, I was super excited to meet Kate Nash, because she’s amazing on GLOW but did an amazing album called Made of Bricks.
Things are super fast, so I didn’t always get pics. Yikes.
Sorry.
The first person we got was Joseph Fiennes from The Handmaid’s Tale. His wife took two things to him and he was nice enough to sign them.
Sean Astin from Stranger Things was very cool. He signed a bunch of things. I got him on my Rudy and Goonies posters.
Jordan Peele the director of Get Out, ran over really fast, which was fairly shocking. He signed a couple posters for me which was cool.
Jason Clarke from Mudbound came on over, I didn’t have anything for him.
The same for Laura Linney who was nice.
Caleb from Stranger Things and Sadie Sink from Stranger Things 2 both shockingly came over. That was pretty cool.
Iain Glen from Game of Thrones came over.
Alexander Skarsgard was very cool as well. He signed my Big Little Lies poster.
Timothée Chalamet from Call Me By Your Name came over. Super cool guy. He’s always so nice. He signed my Call Me By Your Name poster.
Then thankfully I had my I,Tonya poster in my hands because Margot Robbie was zipping by. I was able to get her attention really fast. She came right on over and told me how much she loved my I,Tonya poster.
It was pretty cool, I have to tell you. She signed both my posters which is pretty awesome.
Olivia Munn was very nice as well. She came right over and signed my X-Men poster.
Allison Williams came over and was adorable. I brother a poster of Marnie from Girls, and in the madness I couldn’t get any pics or my Get Out posters. Sigh…
Sterling K. Brown came on over and signed my This is Us poster. Justin Hartley also came over and signed a poster for Russell which I brought.
And that… Was that.
We couldn’t get Goldie Hawn, Susan Sarandon, Reese Witherspoon, etc… to come over. Many Moore, Milo Ventimiglia and most from This Is Us would barely look.
Holly Hunter kept doing The Shining, “Red Rum” finger sign. I didn’t really know what to make of that.
It was a fun day, but a little bit disappointing, it really seemed like publicists wouldn’t let people come over.
Until next time kids…

Don’t forget how busy Alison Brie was standing talking to Betty for 10 minutes hoping people would take pictures of them in their “moment”. She was my personal fan waving so much. Sucks it went to her head!
Hello Mike, great pictures! I think I may have been right near you. I got the same autographs and pictures.
