The 2019 SAG Awards have come and gone, it’s become an annual tradition for us to head to the bleachers. A friend of ours gets us tickets and this year Billy Beer and Scotty joined me for a fun day.
It’s a long day, a long long day. A sweaty day, but in the end we always have a fun time hanging out together.
It’s so hard to recap a day like the SAG Awards, so much happens, in fact I’m still tired and it’s been 24 hours.
This year the carpet was silver for the 25th anniversary. TBH, I wasn’t sure what to expect with the crop of nominees this year, but we always have fun.
I apologize for the lack of photos, It’s so hard to do everything.
The first person who we were able to get over was The Handmaid’s Tale star Joseph Fiennes. He was so nice. He signed my Handmaid’s Tale season 2 cast poster and Scotty’s Shakespeare in Love one sheet.
We met some of the cast members of GLOW, who are always so nice. Betty Gilpin did say, “I’m not doing that.” to us on the carpet though.
We also got Sydney Sweeney who was in season two of The Handmaid’s Tale.
Also Samira Wiley, was super nice and came over. I adore her!
It’s so hard to describe the situation, you see one person yell for them, then see someone else and have to grab something and yell and grab something and yell. It’s two hours of insanity.
Mike Myers, who was one of my top people to get, was so nice. He signed two things for me, I totally geeked out over him, and he made my day.
Sterling K. Brown came over and was really nice, as did Justin Hartley.
The supporting cast of Bohemian Rhapsody came over. Joseph Mazzello signed my Radio Flyer poster for me.
I also got Ben Hardy and Gwilym Lee on my other Bohemian Rhapsody poster.
Then we got a bunch of the Ozark cast to come over, much to Billy’s delight.
Amy Adams signed down the line for people, doing photos as well. She signed two Enchanted posters for me, thanks to Scotty for helping me.
Margot Robbie was adorable!
She signed a Mary Queen of Scotts poster for me and did photos, hyper cool and sweet.
Hugh Grant kind of scowled at us this year.
Glenn Close said, “i’ll air sign for you.”
Michael B. Jordan said he can’t come over.
We got a lot of waves. Looking at you Emma Stone.
Michelle Yeoh, was nice and came over signing my Star Trek Discovery season 2 poster.
Also Henry Golding and Gemma Chan came over from the Crazy Rich Asians cast.
Timothée Chalamet was signing just as Christian Bale was coming over.
Christian signed my Vice poster and my Batman Begins poster.
O-T Fagbenle was super nice from The Handmaid’s Tale. He signed both my cast pieces.
Lady Gaga was leaving and… She came over and signed down the entire line. I was shocked. The autographs are not the best, but I was so thankful a friend of mine snapped this video of her coming over. How cool is this??
Then Bradley Cooper came over and signed a few really fast. Thanks to Billy for the bad black pen.
It was madness.
Andy Serkis, who is one of the nicest people of all time, was so excited to come over. He signed my Lord of the Rings poster and was super cool.
And that… as we say is that. I was really happy and had a blast.
Starting this website has been a labor of love. I love sharing my fandom experiences but more than that I love hearing everyone else’s stories. I love hearing about conventions, movie locations, meet celebrities good and bad, I love it all.
I sincerely hope you enjoy my exploits, the adventures of everyone who submits an article, and all the members of the Fanboy Family!
Without everyone who writes and reads MTF there wouldn’t be a site. This is truly for the fans, by the fans!
