San Diego Comic Con Day 2! With Veronica Mars! Almost Human! Bones! X-Files! Sleepy Hollow! Vikings! Strike Back! And Tons More!
I know I’ve been slow on the SDCC recaps. I’m sorry guys, I have to tell you ever since I got back I’ve been super swamped! However, I wanted to get Friday up for you guys.
I think out of all the days Friday was indeed the biggest day for me. As I previously mentioned I did the Warner Bros and FOX line drawing pulls and scored pretty big. YAY!
So after all that insanity Billy Beer and I headed down to the Vikings off site booth to get their autograph signing. It was epic.
Once we finished with Vikings we had to run back to the convention to get the Strike Back cast.
Strike Back is an action adventure series airing on Cinemax. I have to tell you, the cast of Strike Back is super cool. They really wanted to engage with the fans and were super happy that people came out to support the show.
Plus, the poster is awesome!
I didn’t have time to linger at the Strike Back signing as David Boreanaz was calling… Or the Bones autograph signing… LOL…
I had to get in line pretty fast because there was a bunch of stuff happening.
You can read the full geeky gushing from the Bones autograph signing here!
Once the Bones signing was done I had to run to the IDW booth for The X-Files autograph signing.
You know, Suddenly Susan was lost on the convention floor, I tried to call. Madness ensued.
You can read all about that here! It was pretty epic!
When X-Files was finished I barely had any time. X-Files was at 3:30 and Veronica Mars was at 4:00… Doh! Running like a mad men. It’s the way of the con!
I have to tell you, the Veronica Mars signing was amazing!
Once it was finished, I had the Sleepy Hollow signing at FOX a 5:00. To say I was starving was an understatement. But still I pressed on.
I lined up for Sleepy Hollow.
Now, Sleepy Hollow is a show I’m really excited for. It’s from Len Wiseman who did the Underworld franchise (and is married to Kate Beckinsale!). I have to tell you, I really like Len’s work. I didn’t love the Total Recall reboot but otherwise I like him.
At the signing we were given a Sleepy Hollow shirt (yay!) and the cast is super nice. I talked to Tom Mison for little bit. I asked him if this was his first con and he was like “Oh my God yes!”
He started shaking his head and then said, “What’s your favorite thing so far!” and I said, “The Sleepy Hollow signing of course!” he laughed and said, “No really!” I told him that I was actually really looking forward to the show, and when it was announced and saw Len Wiseman was involved I was really excited.
Len was a couple people down and he’s so quiet and shy. I told him I was a huge fan and he thanked me.
After Sleepy Hollow was finished I ran back to FOX to wait in the stand by line for Almost Human.
Karl Urban and Lili Taylor are in the cast and I’m a huge fan of both. We had to wait and hover and wait and hover and wait and hover and finally Billy Beer and I go in line.
Thankfully we scored a ticket and were able to get in line. I was stoked for Lili Taylor however when we got up there she wasn’t at the signing. DOH! Still, for this signing we also got a promo shirt and the cast seemed to really get along well.
I told Karl Urban that I was a huge fan of Star Trek and he and the other cast members were joking around about the size of Karl Urban’s autograph. So he signed my poser gigantic. LOL… He’s such a funny guy.
After the Almost Human signing, I had 15 minutes to run to the hotel grab my extra camera and head to the Vikings press room.
You can read the first part of the Vikings interview here!
And then after the Vikings room, I met up with Billy Beer and headed over to the Samsung Veronica Mars party.
You can read the recap here for that event.
And then finally… I was exhausted and went back to the hotel to crash.
Whew… Day 2 is over… and it was pretty awesome I have to tell you!
Until next time kids…

Starting this website has been a labor of love. I love sharing my fandom experiences but more than that I love hearing everyone else’s stories. I love hearing about conventions, movie locations, meet celebrities good and bad, I love it all. I sincerely hope you enjoy my exploits, the adventures of everyone who submits an article, and all the members of the Fanboy Family! Without everyone who writes and reads MTF there wouldn’t be a site. This is truly for the fans, by the fans!
