Showtime’s Emmy Party! With Awesome Success From Dexter Stars Jennifer Carpenter! Michael C. Hall! Desmond Harrington! And Getting Dissed By Nurse Jackie’s Edie Falco and The Big C’s Laura Linney!

Ah, Showtime… As most of you know, I love practically every show on the network, it’s like an addiction, what can I say? Weeds, Dexter, The Big C, Nurse Jackie… Damn fine quality programming… And seeing as it’s Emmy season, it stands to reason that most of those shows are nominated… Except Weeds which is a grave oversight! Grrrrrrrr….

But I digress… I am heading out to the Showtime Emmy party which is always held the day before the Emmys to possibly get some photos get some things signed, get into mischief… Cause you know… I like my mischief!

6:02 p.m. – CB was late, and after finding parking, walking up the hill and hiking up the street we finally arrived.

6:04 p.m. – Lindsay, from I Am Not A Stalker is already here, and I think Pinky and Scotty are coming as well..

6:13 p.m. – Why do I always forget to bring a jacket? I mean I think, hey it’s warm during the day and then I forget, once the sun goes down it’s cold as a snowman’s butt…

6:14 p.m. – And that’s damn cold.

6:18 p.m. – Oh, there’s Scotty. There are about 10 people here, no barricade, but it’s the same set up as last year, so it should be okay.

6:24 p.m. – and there’s Pinky! Crazy times… The gangs almost all here… And here comes Anushika! We are (almost) all here!

6:32 p.m. – The party I think starts at 6:30ish so no one has arrived just yet…

6:36 p.m. – Oh, and there’s a car that looks like it could be someone… Oh shit, it’s Edie Falco! She looks over and waves. But goes straight inside. For the third straight year in a row, Edie Falco has dissed me. I still love her, and now, it’s become an annual tradition… Get your Edie Falco diss, the world is moving correctly on its axis.

6:46 p.m. – There’s Edris Alba! He was on the Big C during season one, he comes over and signs like 12 things and takes a few photos. It’s super quick and I get the shaft. Ah well… no worries…

6:48 p.m. – I’m super stoked for Dexter people and Laura Linney. I really love her!

6:52 p.m. – There’s Julia Stiles… Wow, barely a wave…

6:54 p.m. – Man oh man… Wait, that’s… Oh, that’s Claire Danes! Again nothing… Wow, this isn’t good…

7:02 p.m. – Laura Linney! She arrives and gives us a wave and heads inside… man, what’s up with this?

7:09 p.m. – Oh, there’s Dexter himself Michael C. Hall! He waves and says he’ll do it on the way out, because he has to go in… Desmond Harrington from Dexter is with him.

7:11 p.m. – Well… That’s seems to be it… Which sucks cause I was hoping some of the other cast members were going to be here! Grumble…

7:30 p.m. – So, we’re hanging out to hopefully get some people on the way out… Sigh…

7:36 p.m. – CB has just sat down on the sidewalk. Ooooooookkkkkkaaaayyyyyyyy….

7:45 p.m. – Pinky and Lindsay have taken off, ah well…

7:56 p.m. – Edie Falco is leaving, it’s pretty much a lost cause trying to get her to come over, but we still try… sigh… no avail… What can you do right?

8:09 p.m. – Sigh.. Ah well… It’s my annual bummer…

8:14 p.m. – It’s getting really cold… I mean really cold…

8:21 p.m. – CB is still popping a squat in the middle of the Sunset Strip.

8:32 p.m. – Oh, someone is leaving… Oh, it’s Claire Danes! We all yell for her, but she doesn’t look, doesn’t flinch nothing! I mean… Wow… That’s pretty shitty… Man, oh man…

8:46 p.m. – Oh… Oh… Oh… there’s Laura Linney… Oh God, I love her! I so want her to come over… We keep yelling for her, but she doesn’t and jumps into the car. Laura does wave though… Sigh…

8:55 p.m. – I’m bummed…

9:03 p.m. – Man, there’s Michael C. Hall Oh Lord, everyone is going crazy. Michael true to his word comes right on over… He comes over to CB and I.

I ask him to sign my presskit and then CB gets him on a photo. I also pull out my Rolling Stone cover (it was an advertisement on the back of Rolling Stone).

9:04 p.m.- Michael continues to sign and sign. Scotty got Michael on his poster (which a certain Fanboy got for him 🙂 and Anushika got Michael on her Dexter season six one sheet poster.

9:06 p.m. – Michael just finished signing and I spotted Jennifer Carpenter! I didn’t even know she was here! Jennifer is so sweet, and she comes right on over. She signs a couple cast photos for me. One is for my sister, but it looks like I’m not going to finish it in time for Christmas.

9:07 p.m. – I told Jennifer how much I liked her in Quarantine.

We talked about it for a second, and she said, “You can’t say, Quarantine too… anymore because they made a sequel… lol…” I love Jennifer Carpenter! She was so sweet! She was more than happy to do a photo as well.

9:09 p.m. – Desmond Harrington is also here and he is super nice and comes over and does photos with everyone. So nice!

Well, even though Laura Linney, Edie Falco, and Claire Danes weren’t nice it was still a fun evening. I was hoping to finish my sisters Christmas present tonight but it looks like it might have to wait… Sigh, perhaps for another year… Ah well…
