Stanley Kubrick LACMA Exhibit Photo Gallery! Props And Costumes From The Shining! 2001: A Space Odyssey! Full Metal Jacket! Lolita! And More!
It’s so funny, I literally just watched The Shining on Friday as I recovered from Thanksgiving madness… And then I saw these amazing photos from my friend Andrew. LACMA is doing a Stanley Kubrick exhibition featuring screenings, props, costumes and more from the seminal director.
There is just something about every one of Stanley Kubrick’s films that sticks with you. The Shining isn’t necessarily a film that “scares” me when I watch it, however I get that freaky feeling afterwards, where the visual imagery and angles and such… Just the way it’s done makes me want to call my mom and make sure everything is right with the world.
Judging from these photos I highly suggest checking out the exhibition. I plan on doing so myself later on next year. It runs until June 30th 2013 and you can purchase tickets here.
Check out Andrew’s photos below!

Starting this website has been a labor of love. I love sharing my fandom experiences but more than that I love hearing everyone else’s stories. I love hearing about conventions, movie locations, meet celebrities good and bad, I love it all. I sincerely hope you enjoy my exploits, the adventures of everyone who submits an article, and all the members of the Fanboy Family! Without everyone who writes and reads MTF there wouldn’t be a site. This is truly for the fans, by the fans!
