Throwback! Star Trek: Picard Comic Con Signing! It’s a SDCC Miracle When I Score A Ticket At The Last Second!

I thought it would be fun to look back at the Star Trek Picard signing. It was a whirlwind but one of my favorite SDCC memories.

And, since I love the series so much… It’s perfect! If you haven’t checked out Picard yet, you need to. It’s really great!

check out the recap below!

Comic Con has always been an insane place. You can ask people information, and they’ll tell you something and then five minutes later that’s wrong. You can ask 100 times and it’ll be wrong no matter what.

This happened to me this year at the Star Trek book. I asked and asked about signings. It was announced some members of the Star Trek: Discovery cast would be doing a signing. I asked and asked. Everyone said that they would be giving tickets away Sat morning.

Apparently, that was wrong…. I wasn’t shocked but it was annoying. What was also annoying is that I asked and asked about a Star Trek: Picard signing too and low and behold Suddenly Susan and I were walking by and there was Patrick Stewart signing… I was like what the actual fuck!

I was pissed and I must have looked like I was going to beat up a Klingon or something and someone who I’ve ran into at cons before and who is a reader ran up and said, “Hey, I have an extra ticket to meet Patrick Stewart, it’ll be done in five minutes, do you want it?”

I was like, OMG YES! I grabbed the ticket and ran up to the booth. The security was yelling at some people who were waiting in standby and then saw my ticket and tried to force me into the booth. I was like, I’m 6’4, you’re not pulling me anywhere. But whatever.

Patrick Stewart was just standing there with a pre-signed poster in front of him.

I thanked him, gushed a bit. He smiled and nodded. I took the poster and boom.

In 45 seconds I went from pissed off to super happy.

Thanks so much to the kind awesome people who gave me the ticket. I am super stoked and it was really a random Comic Con highlight for me.

It’s one of those things at Comic Con, where you just don’t know what will happen.

So, I’m very thankful.

Until next time kids…
