Who doesn’t love some Ninja Turtles? Seriously… Mutant… Ninja… Turtles… Who are teenagers? I mean hello. I used to watch the movies as a kid, yes even the one with Vanilla Ice, and watch the show. Heck, my sister and I used to play the video game on her Sega… I’m showing my age right?
Billy Beer headed out for the premiere of the new movie, to show his love of the pizza munching group, and Megan Fox. LOL.
Check out his recap below!
Welcome back to Billy Beer(ed)’s Bar Stool. Today we are off to see the pizza eating shelled reptiles hitting puberty who know karate. Or as they like to be called, The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! Now let’s be honest, this summer has been loaded with sequels and reboots. I personally don’t know how you improve on the one with Vanilla Ice in it, but that’s just my opinion. GO NINJAS! GO NINJAS! GO!
I could sit here and tell you how I used to collect all the comic book (which I did), and how I watched all the cartoons (which I did) but since then, the movies have kind of been a joke. Not to say I’ve out grown the TMNT, they just haven’t made anything that has caught my eye since I really don’t collect comic books anymore. So why are you going Billy? You all should know me by now! MEGAN FRICKIN FOX!!! I don’t think there’s a hottest woman competition in any magazine that hasn’t had her on the top of their list at least once (except maybe Ace’s favorite magazine AARP monthly, Betty White still reins supreme!) I have never gotten or even seen Megan Fox before, so I was quite excited to hear that LA was getting the premiere. The only problem is she’s married to one of the least fan friendly “actors” in the world, Mr. Brian Austin Green. Don’t know why, but he’s very protective of his lady. So I didn’t print much, expecting very little. Especially the way premieres have been going lately.
I was lucky enough to have Anthony and Ed save me a spot today. I have been lacking in sleep, and really didn’t want to get there at an ungodly hour. Everything looks good, but it does require the talent to cross the street. That sometimes is a good excuse for them not to come over.
About a million cars drop off until we finally get someone important from the movie. William Fichtner arrives and gives us a long delay talking to people till he finally makes his way over.
He starts off by signing in one place for a while, then finally moves his way down. I get him on my poster, then he’s on his way.
While he was signing, Will Arnet shows up but doesn’t cross. Luckily I had gotten him the day before at the press junket on my poster.
Now the moment we’ve all been waiting for. Megan Fox is making her arrival. Out the door of our side is Brian. He waves while the whole crowd starts chanting for Megan. Then I hear she’s already on the carpet. WHAT????!!!! I didn’t even see her! Wow, that sucked. Well the turtles still needed to arrive and here’s the Scotty version. Jeremy Howard came over and signed, Noel Fisher was going to, but the took him to the carpet, Alan Ritchson said he was going to, then went to the carpet, and Johnny Knoxville didn’t even give it a thought.
Realizing everyone had arrived, we went running over to another spot hoping to get people going into the theatre. After a few walkers go by, here comes Megan Fox again. She tries to give us that “I don’t think I can do it” look, then after BEGGING by EVERYONE, she decides to come over.
She started off to my right, and keeps going right. Crap! Do I move or stay where I am which is literally in a bush.
I decide to stay. Luckily she comes back and goes to our section. I really only had one picture for her, so I hold it out as far as I can so anyone trying to put their pictures on top of mine would have a chance. Her publicist actually point at my picture for her to sign.
I thinking it’s because it’s a picture with her actually wearing clothes. I’m so relieved that my picture got done, I don’t even think to get my poster signed.
Oh well, this was the main reason I came out today. I’ve actually had this picture a year or two.
Back to the turtles and other cast members. Back to Scotty style- William and Will both go inside while the Megan craziness was going on. Alan did finally come over and sign as did Noel, Jeremy did not. The biggest surprise of them all, Johnny didn’t sign at all on the way in, although I heard some people got him on the way out and at Subway.
All in all, the way premieres have been going, I have to say this was a success. I’m not complaining. Well, I deserve a drink after this one, it’s Happy Hour somewhere. Till next time.
