The 6th Annual Surfrider Foundation Celebrity Session With Mad Men’s John Slattery! Six Feet Under’s Eric Balfour! True Blood Star Sam Trammell! Hurt Locker Star Brian Geraghty! Veronica Mars Star Krysten Ritter! and More!

Oh, the dark and dreary days ahead… The sadness, the horror… OH THE HORROR! I can only be talking about… Mornings… The early dank darkness of the morning… and to make matters worse… Mornings.. and SAND! It’s like torture… What can you do… I know… Sigh… But sometimes it has to be done… I just does… And today… Well, I think it’s one of those days…

This a.m. is the Surfrider Foundation benefit… And It’s on the beach.. Hence the Surf part of Surfrider… lol… I’m not a fan of sand… How is it that sand gets in every orifice as soon as you get near it? It amazes me? Anyway, the surfrider foundation is a benefit to protect the world’s oceans, and beaches which is an awesome thing BTW… I support that, but a ban against sand would be awesome!

9:55 a.m. – Pinky insisted we get there at 10:00 a.m. since if we were not there by 10:00 a.m. we would miss everything… Okay… The amazing Lindsay who regardless of what she says is a stalker, lol… Pinky, and Scotty our resident music man are coming… Scotty and Linds are already there, and got a tad showered on earlier… Great… Sand, mornings and rain… Sigh…

10:11 a.m. – Wow, I just got kick ass porn star parking! That never happens… Yay, me!

10:16 a.m. – I just met up with Linds and Scotty. Linds husband Brett, is also here. I’m really here because I really love Mad Men and True Blood. John Slattery and Sam Trammell are both going to be here along with Eric Balfour from Six Feet Under, Brian Geraghty from The Hurt Locker, and Ross Thomas from Soul Surfer.

10:23 a.m. – Pinky isn’t here yet… hmmmm… and I’m already tasting sand… Ugh… I can feel it sticking to my pores…

10:29 a.m. – Oh, there’s Pinky… One of the security guards just told us that if we wanted to see the celebrities they are arriving right next door. lol… I never had anyone point out where we should go before.

10:39 a.m. – Now, we are actually on the beach… with… LOTS OF SAND…. I know it probably doesn’t seem like it, but we are having fun… lol…

10:41 a.m. – Sam Trammell is here and he’s getting interviewed.

Eric Balfour is already finished with a lot of his interviews, but he’s doing another one, or they are bringing him out to do another one… A friend of mine forced me to watch Skyline… and I actually liked it… lol… But really, Six Feet Under is one of my favorite shows ever!

10:46 a.m. – Eric is done. Linds calls him over and he’s super cool… We all get photos with him and then he signs my Six Feet Under poster.

10:54 a.m. – It looks like Sam Trammell is wrapping up his interviews as well…

Pinky yells for him, since she is his biggest fan. There are Sam Trammell walls and shrine’s involved… 😉

10:55 a.m. – Sam comes over and is like, “Hi, Pinky!” lol… I don’t actually have anything for Sam to sign, but I get a photo with him and he signs Scotty True Blood DVD set.

he’s super nice, and signs a few things for Pinky as well…

11:04 a.m. – So far so good… Oh, there’s Brian Geraghty from The Hurt Locker. He’s in a rush but is happy to pose for a couple photos for us. Super nice guy.

11:08 a.m. – Uh oh… I spy John Slattery walking down the beach with his surfboard, he’s actually walking with Tate Donavan who Linds wants to ask about Jennifer Aniston… lol…

11:09 a.m. – There are a couple professionals who have things for John Slattery to sign, I have a couple Mad Men photos, my Desperate Housewives poster and an original prop T-Shirt from Desperate Housewives that says “Victor Lang for Mayor.” As you probably have guessed John Slattery played Victor Lang… lol…

11:11 a.m. – John was a little taken aback signing so much for the professionals but he was still quite cordial and signed three for me.

Linds got my shirt signed for me, cause I really didn’t want to ask him for another… lol… John actually said “Holy Shit!” when he saw it!

11:12 a.m. – We all got photos with John Slattery as well. Scotty also got one with Tate Donovan.

11:19 a.m. – Very nice… Since most of the press stuff was done we headed around the corner to wait until the event started… Yes, this meant getting even more sand around me… lol…

11:22 a.m. – As soon as we rounded the corner Pinky spotted Ross Thomas. Now, I haven’t seen Soul Surfer but I did see this small indie Ross was in called Shelter. It was really good. Ross was super nice!

11:25 a.m. – Then we spotted none other than Veronica Mars star Krysten Ritter hanging in the celeb section. We waved her over and she came right on over to hang out with us for a second. So NICE! I told Krysten how much I love Veronica Mars and we all got photos with her… Dude, So freakin nice.

We then watched as the celebs got into their surf gear and started the event. Baywatch star David Chokachi and Chad Lowe were also at the event… It was super chill and low key. We had a blast, even though it was early and there was sand… Did I mention that sand was even in my nostrils… How does that happen? Crazy!

LOL, okay enough about the sand… Such a fun day, and I’m super stoked I finally got to meet John Slattery!
