I love all the MTF writers, and we all like to tease, heckle and make fun of each other. It’s all in good fun mind you. But then there are those days… Those days that make you get up in the morning, those days when the sun shines a bit brighter, when water quenches the thirst just a tad more.
That day is today.
Billy Beer was so inspired by Ace’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. recap he had to do one himself. He was that inspired, that amazed and that bemused. In fact, I heard, and let’s not repeat this, that Billy rekindled his fanboy spirit just today. That was because he read Ace’s article.
So check out Billy’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. recap below… Tear.
Welcome back to Billy Beer’s Bar Stool. You know, sometimes there are articles on this website that inspire you so much, you just want to write an article yourself. Like I would love to write an article about Outlander or Vikings, but I don’t think Mike has any available days to be able to do that. They are all taken up. But when I read Ace’s article about the paleyfest Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, it warmed my heart to know, that I wasn’t the only one who’s soul was so greatly affected. There was someone else out there who’s life changed because of the experience we had that day. I too what to share this amazing experience with everyone. They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
Now, I can actually say I do watch Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. The show started of good, went through a dry spell, but once they started getting great guests, it picked up to an exciting conclusion.
Now to update Ace’s article, the show did get picked up for a second season, so get ready for some more action.
I don’t get there too early. I’m not to worried about arrivals. This is one of the nicer casts, so I figure even with all the Marvel geeks, I should do fine. I walk in and sit down. For some reason the place smells like sweaty sweatshirts. They then show the most recent episode (not the “first episode” as stated by another article, but I’m sure he’ll figure that out after he spends a week watching it on Netflix)
Afterwards there’s a Q&A with the writers and cast. Some of the more entertaining moments was when they were asked what marvel characters they would like to do a scene with, and Clarke Gregg basically interrupting everyone and saying that he had already had a scene with that character. Clark as stated in the other article was amazing. Not once but twice he actually jumped off the stage and hugged people. You could tell that this cast really enjoyed working with each other, and there was probably a lot of pranking and goofiness involved.
Once the show was done, It was time for the mass rush to the stage. I too went for Ming-Na first, but not because she’s the hardest cast member(she’s not) but because of course I had to get an 11×14 signed for my sister. She signed it nice and big and even personalized it.
Then I was off to Elizabeth, who lately actually has been the hardest of the group. For some reason even though other cast members are signing, she will only do photo-ops. I had a cast piece (not an 8×12 photo that really isn’t considered a posters, but an 11×14 photo) and of course one of my famous 5×7 photo-op photos. I show her that one first, and she loves it. Then she continue to signs my other photo. I quickly get Ian, and then got over to Brett and Chloe
Chloe is a machine. One thing I enjoy about her, is she is very interactive with her fans. I think it’s cause she’s from Chicago, and she can’t go 5 seconds without talking. To say she was only signing one each was not really the case, just don’t have her sign multiple 8x12s of the same cast photo.
After I get Chloe, I quickly get Brett, and make my way to Clark. Clarke has to be one of the nicest guys out there! He’s doing his best to get to everyone. I get him on my cast piece, and an 8×10 photo. Now security is starting to tell people it’s over. Ming-Na, Elizabeth, Brett and Iain have all left the stage. Clark and Chloe are still going at it. Security is now trying to make them leave and they are having nothing of it. I get another Chloe, well, just cause. After everything is signed, they finally go off stage. This by far was the nicest cast all of Paleyfest. It was crazy but nowhere near Vampire Diaries.
Well hope you enjoyed my article. Remember, there are article to copy out there, all you have to do is look.
